Woman solo camper for over 70 yrs.

This article is in our local paper this a.m. I hope the link works for you. She's been camping since 1932 when she was a child and now is a solo camper. She was recognized by our NY Dept. of Environmental Conservation (DEC).

Looks like a lady that would be fun to have at the campfire!

gotta admire that woman for sure, now, who lives up that way and could
take a little trip to that campground and give her a special invite to
join our forum. Can you imagine the stories she could tell us?!

Thanks for sharing this with us Cedar. I love the comment about the campsites having the names of families instead of numbers. How sweet is that? We will all be watching for a campsite with a sign that says "Brenda's Place"!

Neat story - thanks for sharing it.

I wonder if the names is what got rver's and campers making their own signs to take with them?
