ahhhhh, a good place to sit and relax. Worked along day today and then just as I
was dropping off my last kid my bus started to overheat. Got on the radio and
told the dispatcher I was getting ready to have a breakdown  and then I added..
my bus! she was kind of silent for a moment when she said oooooooookkkkkkkk
very slowly. I had just got it back from the shop this afternoon and thought it was
running a little rough. Guess I'll be in a spare tomorrow. I kept stopping and idleing
it up to keep the temp down in a safe range so I could get back to the garage.
I went into dispatch when I got back and let her know I made it safe and sound. She
laughed at me and said she wasn't sure WHO was having the breakdown. I always
enjoy bringing a chuckle to her day.
Oh, and btw, I DID remember to say RABBITS this morning, so another good month
for me and I've already figured out my time sheet for the week and whats been
assigned to me for extra, hahahah, I get a half hour overtime.
Vicki, your right, I haven't updated my blog in a long time, stuff was just so depressing
for awhile there and I didn't want it to show, but I'll get back into it soon.
Was wondering if anyone on the westcoast felt the earthquake today. It was off the
coast of San Diego early this morning. Seems like they had one down that way just
about a month ago, and now this one, better all look out for the sunami. Echo, you
may get to see the beach sooner than you think  and when California falls off into
the ocean I'll see the beach sooner than I think  Don't know why I've got such a
funny bone lately, I must be tired, overworked and underpaid. I should put that in my
blog

You should put that on your blog, Ava! If you put the good with the bad then you'll have something to look back on and see how far you've come!

I didn't hear anything about another earthquake in CA. Of course I wouldn't "hear" it, but nothing that I saw on the news either!

FYI...The earthquake was a 4.4 about 30 miles southwest of Rosarito, Baja California.

Upper NY State and Canada also had earthquakes yesterday, according to the news. They were very small----2. somethings, but nevertheless, an earthquake is an earthquake! I never felt anything, but they say many people did feel them. I always get wary when the earth moves under my feet. I guess that explains why Molly was so wildy excited to see me yesterday when I got home from school----things of that sort always throw her into a panic! I suspect she certainly did feel it/them.

I wonder if Beth and Sparkle felt the 4.4 out their way yesterday?

There was a 3 something quake a few days ago here in Oklahoma. Now they discovered another fault line going through eastern Arkansas. What happens when the big one hits here, does all of the US west of the Mississippi, sink into the ocean. ? :D We can all wave while rinding the tsunami, KOWABUNGA dudettes. Linda

well geeze, no wonder ya all are so cold, ya let the campfire go out! I clean out
the ashes and tidy it up around here, then the fire can just burn baby burn and
warm ya all up! I know today is ONLY wednesday but it sure feels like it should
be friday, I'm so tired, I just feel whooped. I don't know why it is when ever we
have a 3 day weekend and a 4 day work week, it just drags on and on. Gracie
got her toenails clipped on Monday, had to take her to the vet cause she fights
me so much, well, she certainly copped an attitude at me all day and wouldn't
even climb in the bed that night. Yesterday when I came home from work I came
home with treats (had to stop and buy some) and she seems to be my friend
again. The little stinker. She had no problem crawling in the bed last night and
tonight is back at my feet bugging me. But thankfully, her nails are short again.
Now I can take her for a walk cause I don't have to feel like I have to hide the
poor thing, out of fear someone would call the humane society on me.
Still trying to catch up on some posts I've missed over the past week, but I've
been extra busy with my crochet projects. I finished my rug , I will have to get
a picture up of that and did more research to learn some new stuff. I invented
a triangle granny square, wrote the whole thing down and even tried making
another one to test out the "recipe" and it worked! Also made some scrubbies,
and started a purse for myself and then going to start a bag. Have decided to
open up a store on Artfire, its kinda like Etsy except its free. I really enjoy
making the rugs, and will most likely make some more.
Now that the fire is going well, I toss another log on and then hit the sheets. I'm
just really tired.

Hi Everybody

The sun was out today and warmed us up a little bit, though it was still cool in the shade. We had doctor appointments today ~ had to get new prescriptions for 3 months at a time so we only have to fill them once on the road this summer. Found out that Ron had pulled his bicep muscle in his right arm and that it will take a while to heal. Doctor put him on Tylenol 4x a day, heat on his arm 4x a day and icy/hot in the morning and at night. When we got home, I put the icy/hot on he promptly fell asleep for over an hour - he needed it as he has not been sleeping very well since he hurt his arm.

Today was spent running around doing errands, doctor appointments and finally grocery shopping. Also picked up Chinese food for dinner ~ a nice treat since we have not been eating out. While grocery shopping I picked up some yogurt pretzels...wanted something sweet but also semi good for me ~ is there really such a thing?

Tomorrow I don't know if I will have time to get on line. I need to go work at the church first thing in the morning ~ remembered after I was all snug as a bug in the rig that I needed to send out the bulletins for this week - so I will go in around 8:30 in the morning to get that done. Then I am meeting a friend for coffee and visit. In the afternoon I plan on tackling my closet and getting that cleaned out and organized. In the evening we have our last home basketball game. I do the score book and Ron run's the clock. This year the season has gone quickly. All in all it will be a long day.

Well I have stoked the fire, plan on watching the Olympics for awhile before heading off to bed. Hope to see some of you around the fire soon.

home from work, another long day and for awhile there today I thought I was coming
down with something, just felt "off" and whiped out, tried a little snooze on the bus
but that didn't go over well as everyone was coming back from their mid day runs
and so many buses backing up and those backup beepers drove me insane. Found
some back and muscle relief stuff in the medicine cabinet and that seemed to help
after awhile. At least the pain in my back and hips went away.
I'll be watching Survivor again tonight, at least I hope its on, but I'm just not real
excited about this season even though lots of people think this will be the best one.
I just don't see it that way, I see it as being a bust by bringing back all those known
faces and nothing new to happen.
Trying to catch up on the news and see the deal about the IRS building in Texas. Couldn't
really catch the story on the noon news at work as the drivers in there were rather loud
and rude and I couldn't hear the tv. Some days they certainly do act like the kids on the
bus, but I'm sure some days I've done the same thing, so really no hard feelings to them.
Stirring the fire and tossing on another log. Stay warm girls.

It is still too chilly out for me. I need some hot choc and a warm lap dog and a warm fire to ease me into a calm mental state and ready to go watch some more Olympics and off to bed. I wonder if we can hook up an outside TV just for the Olympics I could go sit in the hot tub and watch from there! Went to the kennel club meeting but really got tired of watching Robert's Rules of Order not being efficiently followed. I was sitting next to a mother and her 4-H daughter. I believe the the 4-H'er could have run a better meeting. The president closed the meeting (we didn't have time to complete the program/training that was suppose to be presented) and apologized for the length of the meeting but did so as if she thought someone else was controlling the pace. I just don't have enough patience on a cold night to listen to someone hem and haw around issues....

The hot choc is tasting very good....

So enjoy a campfire!!! Just watching the embers glow and the smell of the wood
did you notice the smell of the wood......smells so good
You know I don't know why you can't put a tv right by the hot tub....just soaking in the hot
water would feel so good on the knee's don't why they sure have been aching lately...
think that is what I'll do slip into the hot tub for a few then nestle up next to the fire with a cup
of hot chocolate

raining again and its getting a tad cold out so the fire feels good, only thing missing
is a little alcohol to warm the insides, too bad I didn't think of it while I was out and
about today. I could have bought myself a treat.

BarbaraRose, sounds like your getting your ducks in a row, Carol (Asimirico) has hers
in little colored chicks,

Now where ever is that Echo? Last post she did was Tuesday. Anyone heard from her?

Well, I'll just stir the fire and toss in another log. Just sitting and relaxing is good for
anybody.
