That does look like a good time, Barbie! However...I see the sled full of beer and think of porta-potties with cold seats, layers of clothing and my "drink a beer..pee a six-pack" bladder...well...the ol' MinneSNOWda term UFFDA comes to mind! :P

Luckily, I was able to go back to the salon to do a haircut and use the bathroom while I was there, so I didn't have to use a port-a-potty. I HATE those things!
As fun as it was, I would still rather be sunning myself on a beach somewhere instead! But, like they say, "when stuck in Rome, do as the Romans do" (or something like that  ).

Uff da (can also be spelled uff-da, uffda, uff-dah, oofda, ufda, ufdah, oofta or ufta) is an exclamation of Norwegian origin that is relatively common in the Upper Midwestern states of the United States. It roughly means "drats," "oops!" or "ouch!" "wtf", especially if the "ouch!" is an empathetic one. In Norwegian Midwestern USA culture, "Uff Da" translates into: "I am overwhelmed." It has become a mark of Scandinavian roots, particularly for people from North Dakota and Minnesota.[1]

I really enjoyed your day - from a distance. I'm another one who is not fond of the cold but love seeing someone else enjoying it.

Well, you probably know people from Wisconsin call people from Illinois either FIBs or FIPs...??? You Minnesotans most likely use a similar phrase. It's a not-quite-so-nice acronym..."BAD WORD-ILLINOIS-BAD WORD (FIBs)" or "BAD WORD-ILLINOIS-PEOPLE (FIPs)"...see where my mind was taking me...

Hope that 'splains it, Ricky!

Me neither! I won't even swim in a pool colder than 75 degrees! They do the Polar Bear Plunge on Lake Minnetonka on New Years Day each year. I just don't get it! Maybe just to say they did it?

Okay, so FINE...F I N E ! I may be a du(oo)fus, but people from the far north and far south are just mean...being almost polar opposites, how did you BOTH get to be so not-nice? HUH? Probably the extremes in weather, unlike kind, gentle, and moderate mid-America...
