What beautiful views, Barbie, but I'd much rather the ones without the snow. Unless I could stay inside in the warmth 24/7.

I downsized from a one bedroom facing the parking lot, to this studio facing the lake with a screened in porch. Less space, but less rent and a to-die-for view and a 3 season porch to enjoy it from. Can also see this view from my bed so I get to enjoy this as soon as I open my eyes in the morning. The moon rises are also beautiful.

I love Lake Minnetonka. Lived in Mpls for 3 years way back when - in other many moons ago. Beautiful area - but for me - just a place to visit now - and way too crowded. But when you can have such a lovely oasis in among all the people, you can almost forget they're all there :) Just don't leave home.

Barbie, I just noticed in the second pic, there is what looks like a truck and maybe ice fishing shack out on the lake!

Yes that is an ice house and a pick-up in the second photo. Out further, about a mile, there is a whole village of ice houses. I was going to walk out there one day and take some pics, but maybe I will drive instead. I haven't ever driven on the lake before but with all the cold temps we've had, it should be very safe to do so (will have my door open just in case, tho :o ).

The summers here are pretty nice and being around the lake is always fun (I miss my boat tho :( ). I hate the winters, they are SOOooooo long!! My dream is to move south to Arizona or California (Palm Springs??) as soon as I can afford to, which won't be soon enough! Meanwhile, I will enjoy living on the lake. I live in a small town on the far west end of Lake Minnetonka so it is quiet out here, yet still only 20 minutes away from Minneapolis.

The map below is of Lake Minnetonka. I live where the black dot is, my dad lives where the red dot is (on the right)side), and I work where the pink dot is...
