Anybody familiar with these old rvs? Apparently a group was having a gtg here in the park earlier this week. I was told only a few hundred were made back in the late 70s, early 80's. Shaped like a small Class A with a hydraulic lift pop top. Pretty cool.

This one appears to be still in great shape.

These things were GREAT looking and very efficient. I wonder why they went out of business, or why they don't make them any more? I love the looks of them on the outside.

Kind of reminds me of the volkswagen camper vans. My folks had one that we used sometimes and it had the top that went up to reveal a bed.

Now how kool is that!!! Tell me why in the he77 they can't make todays motorhomes able to get that kind of mpg? Seems to me if they could do it back then by goodness they could do it now if they wanted!

Cool. Never heard of a Vixen, nor seen one. The good mileage shown must be for the diesel models - similar to today's Class B's built on Sprinters. (MsBHaven got 22 mpg) The Vixen was manufactured with a lot of different "parts", BMW, Ford, GM, Cadillac etc. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
