I'm adding some more wood to the fire, just to keep it going! Don't want the strong winds to blow it out. We've got a pretty sunshine day here and Ronnie wants to grill some meat and vegies so I'll be lighting the pit too. Yall are welcome to come on over and sit by the fire while the food is cooking then we can eat up! That is as long as I don't spend too much time listing to the campfire stories and burn the food!

oh nooooooo, the campfire is getting buried, I found it on the second page! But
just wanted to sit and reflect and relax a little. So much running around today and
then when I think I'm done .... forgot to buy coffee and that would have been a
real tragedy come tomorrow morning, so back to the store I went. Remembered
a few other things while I was there and left, got to the first traffic light and as
I was deciding what to fix for dinner, HOLY MOLY, I FORGOT THE COFFEE!!!
Hate when that happens, so I had to scoot over to the left turn lane and quickly
get turned around to get the coffee. All is done now and I'm in for the evening.
I'm actually hoping there is a good movie on that I can sit and enjoy and do a little
crochet tonight.
Its still quite cold out, its only 55 right now and supposed to drop down to 39 overnight.
But tomorrow brings 61 or better and more drying out, at least for a few days, then
they predict a bit of weather coming in from the coast on wednesday that might bring
a little rain but nothing like recently.
This campfire needs a little firewood I think, I'll just run over to Soos and get some,
I hear there's a whole big pile of it over there

There sure is a big pile of it, and I will leave some dry stuff here for all to enjoy. Tomorrow I will dig out the piles from under the snow and bring in some more for my stove. Not as cold yet here tonight, so far....only down to 12 above zero.

Campfire sure does feel good, Ava-----thanks for resurrecting it for us! I will settle for some hot chocolate tonight with a dash of Recipe in it.....just a touch, as I need to be clear-headed for some more skiing tomorrow. The trails were perfect out there today! Molly and I went to the pond and all around in the nice, warm sunshine!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

OOh, Ava, thanks for reminding me. I need to set up my coffee for morning...haven't done that yet. I hate when I forget it and can't just turn it on in the morning. Campfire is nice. I didn't get any wood for a fire here, so I'll just join yours. Company is nice too. Now where's Nan with the S'mores?

Camp fire.....I think I will sit in the hot tub for a few minutes...Ernie refilled my wine glass just a little bit...and I am still able to walk the dogs in the dark  We are setting out tomorrow for a driving tour of Savannah and Tybee Island and with a few stops...need to finish up here early and be sure to get my "I'm going on another adventure," sleep. Thanks for the dry firewood!

I think you will like the tour of Savannah,.... did that when my son was stationed at Hunter Army Air base,... One of the historical mansions had a lobby ceiling painted with stars. Looked like a night sky. Beautiful. I wonder if the Pirates House is still there. It's a restaurant where there was a trap door that drunks were taken out through,.... when they came to they were on a ship and headed out to sea. If it's there,.... red beans and rice is great there.

So nice that you two could gtg!

decided tonight to have a 'real campfire' had asked Kerry and her brother over and went out to start the fire and it putted and sputted and simply didn't want to go got more smoke than flame finally got it going but the chairs where still dampish and it was chilly so we says inside enjoy the fire place sat in a visited for quite awhile! but you know what a soak in the hot tub sounds so good may be I'll join Cedar along with a cup of hot chocolate that sounds so good! glad the campfire was resurrected. I enjoy it here quite and peaceful

Time to stir the campfire again and toss in a few more logs. Had early release today
so I got to come home and surprize the doggies  I even got INSIDE the door
before they knew what was happening. So of course they thought 3:30 was dinnertime,
not!! Mean momma made them wait  but I did give them an extra cookie to tide
them over.
The weather was much nicer today and I certainly can't tell that we're expecting any
storm like they predicted. Fingers are crossed that we still have some drying out
time before we get anymore rain.
The only bad thing about coming home early is that I want to go take a nap! :x and
I certainly can't do that as it would throw off my sleep schedule. Instead I will spend
my extra time on the computer :D

I'll add some more logs on the fire for everybody. I think I'll prop my feet up and warm my toesies. Today was Ronnie's birthday, 42, still a young'un. I baked him a german chocolate bunt cake and had Blue Bell old fashion vanilla ice cream to go with it. Only his parents showed up so there's plenty left over for an after supper snack, yall help yourselves.

Ava, when are you going to update your blog? I check it ever so often and nothing new in your world. :(

Hey scooch it on over you! I can use some of that heat. Ahhhhh, warmth and the smoke is after you and not me. :P

Happy Birthday Ronnie!!! Hope Vickie got ya something good!

I miss a campfire here. No ground fires allowed and it will be a bit until we can get something to have a campfire in. Even if it's an old roaster it would be better than nothing! Hmm? Gonna have to pick up some marshmallows on grocery day.

Hey Vickie, found the Crystal Light stuff at Albertsons for $6.49 a container. DANG!!!!

Wow, that's expensive! I'm thinking that at the Kroger's here it's around $4 something. Do you remember how much it was here?
And yes, Ronnie got good birthday presents, of course! :D
