Being a "retired Army wife" myself....I know how hard the separation of deployment can be......and yes, I had my share of problems while Ernie was gone....but sounds like your DD has a good support system with the added bonus of your helping visit......the post churches and family support groups are even better now than when I was doing the waiting.......I'm thinking of all of you gals.....and hope you can get on the road soon...
