I'm so glad I left "Q" on Thursday morning! It wasn't a pleasant 4 hr. drive west in the driving rain, but I made it safe and sound. When I turned on the t.v. later I heard about your horrible storm with twister in Blythe! Glad you are all okay and that I went through that area before it hit! I was in "Q" from Sun to Thurs (17-21) but didn't manage to get together with anyone.

The cold I caught before I left on this trip turned into pleurisy and bronchitis Wed. a.m. After arriving home Thurs afternoon, the pleurisy pain spread from under one arm to my middle chest and I got short of breath, so went to urgent care. Now I'm on antibiotics and codeine cough syrup and pretty much living in a recliner.

Rain has stopped - until the middle of this coming week when we're supposed to get another storm. This one isn't supposed to be quite so bad, tho. I have a mess in my yard that I'll worry about some other time. My deck shade cover is in pieces and laying on the deck with all of its legs splayed in different directions and an arbor with two planters on each side has fallen over. But - - - - so far I don't have any leaks in the house and I'm better off than many of you are, so hang in there sisters. Sorry you had damage, Sheila, and leaks and mud and etc. for our Blythe gals.

Pooker, sooooooooo glad you made it back home safe and sound..you are a braver soul than I to hit the road in that mess. Terrible about you being sick..hope you get to feeling better real soon.

So sad about them not finding the little boy. How tragic, and then on top of that a fine? Hubby and I were out driving and came upon a flooded road over by a dairy - we were in my Jeep. Hubby kept creeping toward the water and I just looked at him with a glare and was like, I hope you don't plan on taking my white Jeep through that flood of cow pee/poo muddy water mixter!!! Well it's a Jeep he replied....  after my stare down, he decided to turn around and go down the main roads which werent flooded.... smart move on his part.

Talk and pics of all these tornados makes one wonder if any place in the states is safe anymore :(

Pooker,.... glad you are safe,... but so sorry that you are suffering with pleurisy, I know that can be wicked painful. Stay in that recliner and get better!

So sad to hear about the little boy. Hope his parents are ticketed or fined or whatever.
