Okay there was this nice campground we would go to..on the lake. Actually it is the ONLY campground on the lake.
It was only a few miles from the house. We would go a few times a year. It was teh type you could buy for the entire season. They also had 10-15 sites that were general sties and available for whomever reserved it.
Today in the paper......
By summer 2012, campers should see a completely redone and upgraded Wildwood Resort, at the southern end of Lake Whatcom, one of the owners said.
In 2006, Rick Faber, president of Faber Brothers Construction, and other members of his family bought the resort with plans to upgrade it. They're reducing the number of campsites from about 150 to 83, and they're replacing structures at the resort, which is on about 15 acres at 990 Lake Whatcom Boulevard.
Last week crews removed an aging boat gas station dock, Faber said, and work is under way to replace it with a new one. The refueling dock, which may be the only commercial fueling facility on the lake, will be open in time for this summer.

Crews are currently doing demolition on site, as well as building the gas dock, but most construction won't start until the summer months, he said.
The project will result in larger campsites, and they'll be for sale, though the new owners could decide to rent them, he said.
The owners are upgrading the resort in two phases: the first will improve a north section of the property this year, and the second will improve the southern section in summer 2011.
Work should be completed by summer 2012.
The resort is currently closed but will open April 16. For more information on the resort, go to Wildwood-resort.blogspot.com.
