I asked a Ranger about the crosses at Hagen's Cove. It seems three men went out fishing. A storm came up and two of the men tied themselves to the boat. The boat went down, dragging the two men, the third bobbed to the surface and was rescued.
Hagen's Cove is a magical place.

Sheila, I'm glad your husband wasn't injured when the wind caught the awning. There are all kinds of parts that could have "whapped" him.

he is still recouping and had to go in and rest so wasn't out side when it gusted I guess. glad he was inside as you are right it could have whapped him good!
