My New Niece!

Postby dpf » Sun Jan 17, 2010 11:10 pm

My sister finally found another Boston! She's 8 weeks old and as cute as can be...but the poor little dear doesn't have a name yet! I gave my sister several suggestions. Tux..because it looks like she's wearing a tuxedo (sister thinks that sounds like the hemorrhoid relief medication), Oreo...the black and white, Cruiser...police car..black and white, or Beans...as in Boston Baked. She nixxed them all. We seldom name our dogs people names. Can any of you think of a unique name?

What a cute face! I think Tux or Oreo would both be good choices.

How about Mixey, since she's mixed black and white? :D

Ah, what a cute face. What does Radar think of her? I have trouble coming up with names. Sometimes seeing their personality helps. My friend named one of her dogs Lexie, I like that name. My DH is no help, we had 4 dogs named Jeff and 2 named Hank.

She is adorable! I'm no good at names either. I named my pug Choco because I like chocolate!

Gizmo and one was Dottie. How about Jazzie for a name, daughter had a dog named
Mercedez and on many occassions they called her Mercy. Thats all I got to offer :P

A real cutie,.... she looks like she is saying ... "hey guys,.. com'on.... give me a name so I can feel like I belong!" :D Names are so funny, usually my "kids" got names because of their personality. Let us know what they decide.

That's too funny!

I like Cruiser. She's quite the cutie.

Of the suggestions so far, I would opt for Oreo----it's sort of feminine, sort of yummy, and very descriptive!

Another possibility would be Boston Terror (as in terrier) or BT for short!

What a sweet picture of that new little 4-footer! I wish I could pick her up and cuddle her, name, or no name. :)

What an absolute doll. How about Fenley (sp) after the stadium. (That is in Mass isn't it?) Oreo is cute also. It takes me awhile to come up with names also. Enjly her. Linda

Linda, you were close, but for some, reason it just didn't sound right, I'm not a sports fan. Looked it up, it's Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox.

Well, she has a name. Trixie. I told my sister it totally lacks originality!  Martha, Radar hasn't had a chance to meet her yet, and it probably won't be pretty when she does. Radar likes people but not other animals. She and my sister's Duffy tolerated each other but were never really friends. Radar only has one dog friend and that's Max the neighbors Maltese. Every other dog in the neighborhood is scared to death of her.

Trixie? Good grief! Your sister had a real hard time playing make believe or pretend when she was a youngster didn't she? I think Oreo would have been a perfect name, not only cause of color but because she's got to be a sweetie!

 Got me tho! Was gonna say the usual things and ask who she looked like? Mom, Dad, whichever reletive/family member? So ya caught me by surprise! ;)

Tell her to name that precious one,,,Precious? Or Dollye,, cuz she's such a doll!

I have a boston, named Shotsey (the german word for sweetheart,, Schatze) but I wrote it phonetically.

She is indeed a precious doll..

I will have another when Shotsey is gone. I hope my next one will be as good a traveler as she is. She is only 3 now, so I hope she lives long enough to go on the road w/ me when I go. (also i hope I live long enough, as well! )
