My son got released last Friday so now it's the chore of trying to keep him as comfortable as he was in a hospital bed. My dil is running on less than fumes. My dau and g'daus flew down to help out but could only stay a couple days.

I finally found a place to board Choco. It's at a veterinary hospital. I visited them Friday and it is a very nice, clean place with good, polite, smiling people, so I won't feel quite so apprehensive about leaving him. The down side is I could only get him in for a week so my visit will be a short one.

I know my dil wants me there asap but I still have my colonoscopy to get thru this coming week. After my last one my bum was so sore it was hard to sit for long, so I'm not looking forward to sitting on a plane, but thank goodness it won't be a long flight.

I have to fly into Sacramento and they live about an hour from there but I'm not about to get a rental car and try driving myself in that traffic, not knowing exactly where I'm suppose to go etc. Now my dau did rent a car but she's one of those special people that seems to be able to just go with the flow and drives anywhere without any real stress. She has a excellent sense of direction, too. So my dil isn't too happy that she will have to try to find someone to come get me. I looked into a shuttle but it would be $100! I'm sincerely hoping that my son will be well enough that she can come get me and leave him home with my 12 yr old g'dau. Please add that in your prayers.
Thank you for your continued prayers. What a blessing you all are.

Lenora, I am finally geting around to reading all these posts and it makes me so sad to see this news. I know you can't spend lots of computer time right now, but hopefully you will soon have a (positive), update for us. I pray that your son and his family are comfortable and your furbaby has good care. I also pray Lenora is o.k.

It's great news that he's coming home - I hope that he can continue to heal. And I'm glad that you found a vet for boarding - and that you'll be able to go spend some time (even if it is short) with them.

I'll be keeping all of you in my prayers.

Lenora,

I'm glad your son is out of the hospital ... injuries like this are hard on everyone ... not just the one who has been hurt. You and yours have been in my prayers.

When you rent a car ... you might check out getting one with a gps system ... to tell you "turn here, go there." Mine helped me thread the needle thru ABQ at night to my RV park when I was exhausted.
