I'm sorry to see this post. I'm not a praying person,...but I do send comforting hugs to you all. Wish I was closer so we could at least share a cuppa and you could tell me all about him. In friendship,.....

I wanted to let all you know that he has now passed away. Once they removed all life support he passed away peacefully within about 30 minutes.

If I have you as a Facebook friend. All the posts with this have been removed. One of my cousin's said one of the Aunt's did not want anything about Grandpa on facebook pages.

I will say that having facebook...got me through today. I chatted off and on with many of my cousins, we shared pictures and memories. It was good for those of us that physically could not be there. In order not to create family drama I did remove my posts. I left the pictures but removed the post about the pictures. ...as we know these things seem to bring out the worst in some people. It was very healing for me to be able to share without having to make dozen's of phone calls to people.

I am not sure at this point when I will head down or how long I will stay.

I am so sorry for the loss of your grandfather. Find peace in your memories and know his spirit is close by and at peace.

Kristy, big hugs coming your way. It's very tough to lose loved ones, and everybody grieves in her own way. Thankfully your grandfather made the right decision for himself and was able to die in peace and with no fear. May I be as lucky when it's my time to go.

I am glad for you that you were able to connect with people via the internet at a time when reminiscing was so healing and comforting. In this day and age of technology, there is really no need to be isloated as in years gone by when life is needing to be shared with others.

You have had a very traumatic week all in all, and I hope you can find some peace and rest now by hugging your kids closely and sharing memories with them.

Thanks for your update-----my candle was getting low.

Hi Kristy,
I know I am brandnew here and I really don't know you all personally, but I do know that there is a reason all of us Ladies are on here. It is absolutley to support each other. I know exactly how you feel. I lost both my parents 4 years ago. 30 day's apart. i know the fear of the unknown. But I also know that God is there for us no matter the situation.
I pray for comfort for you and your entire family. I also pray for peace. I know that I speak for all of us when I say you are in our prayers. I am sorry you are not there physically. Just cling to your fond memories with him.
Love and Prayers,
MaryMac

Sorry your family didn't want anything on the internet. It seemed like a good thing you were doing to me.
I can only reiterate what everyone else has said. Keep your eyes on the Lord as you go through your grieving and let Him carry you when needed.
Hugs, sweetheart.
