Well, you might be wishing you were in Fl right now-but NOT-it's going down to 30 here in Sarasota tonight. Might as well be enjoying beautiful, white snow. So, I'm huddling around the campfire, drinking some Pusser's rum (usually wine, but thought I'd bring something a little different). Put some more wood on the fire for us woosy Florida gals. :D carold

I hate this weather. Some winters we don't even have a freeze and this week we have 6 days of freezing temperatures. Friday and Saturday they are saying lows of 20. I know, we are wimps. I have a heater going in my motorhome and put the pink stuff in the drain traps. I thought I was over my cold but my nose started up again and I have been blowing all day. I made a big pot of chili today so that helped some.

I've got a pot of chili going too, should be ready in a few minutes. The 6 o'clock news just said Sulphur 26 tonight and Lake Charles predictions for Fri/Sat/Sun lows to be 22/20/23 with wind chills in the single digits and teens! Don't they know Louisiana ain't supposed to be that cold, Florida neither! Who do we complain to? I know the people up north think we're crazy, lol, this ain't cold, IT IS FOR US DOWN HERE!!!!

Holy crap! Throw some more wood on that fire and move over! Give me enough room for my chair, big azz blankie and my Baileys and coffee!! I'm about froze. Dang I'm putting my gloves on too. It's in the 20's out there last time I looked so it's not as cold as it has been. But ya sure couldn't convince my goosebumps of that! The wind will get ya.

I've got a whole thermos here with coffee and Baileys if'n ya want some. Just make sure ya leave me the last of it. Brrrrrr I don't know how all of ya are staying warm tonight? But I think I'm gonna chain Shade to my feet and throw another blanket on!!!

Thanks for building up the fire, Vickie. I'm trying to get warm too. We're going to need a bonfire at our gtg I think.

Don't put the cover on the hot tub. That's a good place to stay warm, don't care if I stay pruney (?) and wrinkley (?) it will be warm.

Vickie, sorry we have no one to complain to. The sign over the complaint box says, and your point is? Linda

I sure as heck don't need a hot tub to stay pruney and wrinkley...I have God and his sense of humor...

did somebody mention Baileys? I haven't had that in many years, and that would sure
be good. But if I remember right, it was extremely expensive, and I'm sure it hasn't
gone down any. But what the heck, maybe I could get a shooter.

Yup, Bailey's is EXPENSIVE, and most of the copy-cats suck. But Carolan's (sp?) is delicious - can't tell the difference and WAY cheaper!

My sister-in-law got me started putting Bailey's in coffee but I had to stop that. My stomach couldn't take it but it sure was good.

I'm nothin' if ya can't call me dedicated! :)

One time, we were sailing on a friend's boat in the Virgin Islands. She had a crew, and the captain was just a skinny, little bearded guy. I got up really early one morning and was having a cup of coffee in the galley. Captain got up next. It was about 6:00 AM. He poured, and I'm NOT exaggerating, about 1/4 cup of coffee in a mug and then filled it to the top with Baileys (owner's Baileys). I think my jaw must have dropped. He looked at me with still sleepy eyes and said, in a complete monotone, "Takes the edge off the morning." He never drank the rest of the day.

Maybe I oughta try that! Sounds like a good way to start the day, altho it may just make me want to go back to bed! I could of used that this morning after getting yelled at for something I had nothing to do with.
