Blue Moon over Mazatlan

Postby asirimarco » Thu Dec 31, 2009 8:23 pm

New Years Eve and there is a full moon, the second one in the month of December - thus a blue moon. Only happens once every 19 years on New Years Eve - or so the Internet says.
We are going out to dinner tonight to the old district of Mazatlan, eat dinner outside around a plaza. Three other people from the campground are going with us. A couple we met in Huatabampito and a single man. Taking a taxi as The Driver says he doesn't want to drive tonight. Probably good choice.
Beautiful day today in the high 70s and not humid - and I ordered my new glasses - had the prescription for the lenses from the states getting 2 pairs, regular and sun with progressive lenses for US $ 216 - just the regular glasses would have cost me 350 in the states.
They will be coming to wash and wax Jennie tomorrow - she needs it - about US $30.
Feliz Ano Nuevo to all - no resolutions for me - except to make it to 2011 - one year at a time.

I was hoping for a photo of the moon. Too cloudy here to see the blue moon although did get a glimpse of near full moon a day or so ago.
hope you enjoy your night out on the town.

No chance of seeing the blue moon here. It's been pouring rain since yesterday AM!
Speaking of waxing the MH.... I was just thinking of how I was going to accomplish that with mine! I wonder if there's a place that does it as I know it's a job I can't/won't do. Hmmmm...

I up side of an older bladder and being a light sleeper and a young dog that still thinks she needs to pee in the wee hours of the morning....it allows you to gaze out at the moon that you would have otherwise missed :D

Fall of 2008, I was lucky enough to end up the one night I spent on the Outer Banks with a full moon shining over the water and beach.....it was so unreal to be walking on the beach under the moon with the dogs.....a different setting than I had ever experienced.... Thats what you picture reminds me of.....I need to spend more time on beaches...

Almostthere - you mght check truck stops in your area. some of them will wash/wax RVs also. Blue Beacon is one such in my area. You could also try googling it. As my kids say, if you have any kind of question, google it.
