I just cancelled our reservation (site #23), so it's available if anyone wants it.

He said he would go to PA GTG, though, but only if Vickie goes because that would keep me out of his hair!

Vicki, Diana had some big $$ repairs to her rig so she can't come. Carole and I are coming on 84 then down 75. I hate going thru big cities and traffic so I always take a round-about way that avoids both.

It's getting closer and I'm getting excited. Mitch so sorry you won't be making it. I'm in Manatee Spring SP and will jump down the road on Saturday. Liz, I plan on hanging around the cg since I won't be there long. Sunday would be a good day for kayaking from what I hear about the springs.

I had all but given up on making this trip but the past few days things started falling into place for me to make it. Major remaining problem, which I can do nothing about other than pray, is the weather. True Artic blast coming this weekend and lingering into much of next week (concerned about pipes freezing).

Do you have exposed pipes under your house with no foundation walls/cellar to protect them? If you leave heat on in your home your interior pipes should be fine. if you are worried about pipes freezing under your house you can wrap them with heat tape. The winter I lived in Mobile I was surprised how cold it got even there on the gulf. Good luck... hope you get to go!

Just checking in here to see whats happening. I am sooooo sorry that Mitch and Diana, won't be here. Gosh !! Now I wish I hadn't read this this morning, could have put off the unhappy feeling for a while longer

Caroline, I stayed at the Manatee Springs State Pk. also on my way into the state. Hardly anyone there at that time. Hope more are there now. My spot was #6 and right across from me was the prettiest Husky, with those blue eyes. Well behaved and just gorgeous!!

I'm really getting excited about seeing everyone, in spite of the cooler weather it will be a really fun time. I am not thinking beyond that time period, because then I have to think of going home

Ok, how about Friday night movie night? I have the movie "Cross Creek" starring Mary Steenburgen and Rip Torn. (Based on the true, biographical story by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings) For those who might want to visit MKR's home in Cross Creek, it will provide background for the experience. I'll bring my 32" flat screen and set it up outside if it's not raining or freezing. Bring your own popcorn & beverage. Saturday the museum at the park is open for those interested in that. I can take a few to Cross Creek that may be interested. Sunday...a day to relax, rent canoes, hike the trails, whatever. Perhaps Carold will join us Sun. or Monday? Barbzee, are you still planning to come? Which day? If some are interested in a boat excursion, we'll get a count and try to schedule it as convenient.

Oh, and FYI, the Tampa RV Show starts Wed., the day after our gtg ends. Wed. is "senior discount" day ($7) and I plan to drive down in my car if anyone else is interested. I believe it's the largest RV show of the year in FL.

Questions:
Do you want to have more than one potluck dinner?
Any other suggestions on what to do and when?
Mitch...what am I missing, besides you and your nemesis?
