Crashed next to the warm fire.....was up at 5 am to drive a rescue English Cocker up to the Cleveland show to meet up with the next leg of his "ride" east to find his "forever" home. Had picked him up in northern KY from his first "driver" yesterday. He spent the afternoon and evening hanging out with the bunch around her. He was fairly young and had a sweet temperment. His coat showed some holes from where mats had been groomed out but he was a snuggler from the word go.... The rain stayed rain most of the drive in the morning and by the time I left in the early afternoon the temps were easily above freezing and just wet weet wet all the way home.....better than ice and snow...that is the tradition of the Cleveland shows and northern Ohio lake effect :D

Now I am ready for a warm shower, pj's and an early bed time.....

Tah Dah!!! I am joining the fire crashing party too! ;)

It has rained, misted and poured off and on since last night. Holy squelch Batman it's soggy out there. It's suppose to be up in the 60's tomorrow but tonight I need the fire and warmth to take the edge off the mold I feel trying to get a grip. And speaking of 'fire'! David didn't check the wood stove before he went to bed. Almost out so had to pamper it to get it fired back up again. It's going good now and I just started to shut it down for the night. Closed the door all the way but still have one of the caps open so will have to go in and close that down in a few minutes. ~sigh~ Just goes to show ya a Mother's job is never done!

No white wine but I do have a bottle of Arbor Mist Sangria. It's not the top shelf stuff but I like it. ;) I'm a cheap date.

Well I'm gonna sit back, enjoy the fire a while longer, take Shade out one more time, dry her little feet before she gets into my bed and I will be crawling into the bed right behind her. Hope everyone has had or is having a great evening.

Sleep well Sistahs

Decide to come in and stir up the fire a little. ahhhhhhhhhh

After the wet nasty weather yesterday today was a nice break. I don't think the temps ever got to what they were calling for but it was still nice, with on and off sun. Now it's all clouded and raining again. ~sigh~

David made a quick run and stop here at the house and left again about 30 minutes ago to go to the hospital. Jenny had class and a test this evening so in order for her Mom to watch Conner she took a 1/2 day off from work. Jenny's Mom called David and let him know that she was taking Conner to either the clinic or ER? He was warm and sweaty yesterday and I guess this evening while his other Grandmother was watching him his temp went to 101.6, she called and they said to bring him in. Conner was admitted into the hospital and has a bladder infection. ?? I don't think I've ever heard of a child that young with a bladder infection. Jenny is definitely staying at the hospital with Conner but David wasn't sure if there would be room for him? If not he said he will sleep in the truck.

I cracked open my other bottle of lite red wine and I'm gonna sit here awhile, enjoy the fire and relax! I hope everyone has a good night.

Decided that it was to cold to go out side and enjoy a fire so decided to go looking for the campfire in hopes of finding a nice blazing fire!!! Not so found it on page 3 think it dead or dying!!! so doing a little bit of blowing on the fire putting some wood on the fire and hoping it doesn't burn as fast as the wood on our fire last night did. burned up almost two bundles of wood in less than an hour 12 bucks up in flames so as to speak!!!
Saw the prettiest sunset tonight dh was even able to get a picture what a beautiful one it is
Did you know that there is a table not far away with the best goodies on it and since its virtual no calories what a find. Think to that table I'll add creme puffs with bavarian creme so yummy: see mint brownies and oh my cake balls!!!
Died and gone to chocolate heaven! Oh what is that wow someone got smart and added a hot tub to the mix cool!!!!! what a find sitting here watching the fire crackle and enjoy the conversation with others while the water bubbles and gurgles upon our nickline fabulous

Glad you found the fire and the hot tub ! Can't jump in this morning but I'll try to bring some more wood over tonight after the family leaves....today my brother and his family and his two gd's are coming for what is left of the family dinner. The step mother will get picked up and be in attendance, too. My dd called from NC and couldn't believe that the family is coming here and her father hadn't fixed the plumbing in the bathroom sink..... I reminded her that it wasn't fixed last year when they came either  better that I get "trashed" by the sm than my niece. My niece and her husband are making updates and renovation on the house that was my father's .....we really don't want her input on those :? She thought 30 year old ugly wall paper was just right! Anyway after playing nice this evening I'll need the glass of wine and the hot tub sound nice, too! Thanks for starting the fire back up, it looks great.

Gotta stir the fire and get some flame goin here, its cold and drizzly out and my
toes are cold! For the last two days I've had to hang laundry indoors so it would dry!
But the Christmas wardrobe is cleaned and packed away til next year and I think I have
just a couple small loads left but its gonna have to wait til I go to the store and get
more laundry soap.
The fire feels good, and I'll grab a little lunch while I'm here, then its off to play my
computer game I'm addicted to. Anybody else play computer games? I'm gonna need
a 12 step program when I go back to work  alrighty then, Super Collapse Puzzles
here I come!

Ava, I use to play a Boggle type word game on Yahoo, but hate how Yahoo has feelers always looking into my computer habits etc. (spyware sort of). My computer was always running in the background when I was connected to them. So I deleted everything Yahoo. Now I got on Facebook and play Farkle, a dice game. I'm not so addicted to it as I love word games better, but I do play the 'bonus' round every 4 hrs!

I don't care for yahoo either, my computer just doesn't behave right when I'm on there.
I play games through aol's games link and sometimes on pogo. I played the Farkle on
Facebook a few times, but then again I hate leaving my page open for long periods.
I'm still intimidated by the whole thing of Facebook.

If you like word games try Freerice.com There are different catagories. I learned a lot of Spanish that way...yeah, I know, eleven words.

Thanks Sparkle, that was fun, I just played the Spanish and donated 400 grains of rice. Ronnie is always asking me what Spanish words mean, so I just got him playing too!

It's so cold here and I'm so chilled I thought I'd cozy up to the fire with y'all. I'm looking out the
window at snow building up on my RV ... and I'm in the mood for a hot chocolate and the warmth
of friends.

Alrighty gals, I haven't done this in a while, but I figured I'd pile some more wood on the fire. It's supposed to get down to 29 tonight, hard freeze warning from midnight to 8am, then Friday they're calling for 24 degrees. I just got back inside from getting everything taken care of outside, put a oil filled radiator type electric heater in the RV, plugged the diesel truck in, moved my car over to the south bay of the garage to protect it from the north wind and made sure all the water hoses were disconnected and pipes wrapped. I'll leave a drip in the house sink tonight and we should be okay, but dang if it ain't cold out there already! Brrrrrrr That's why I figured I'd get the fire going, got some hot cocoa in a thermos for anyone who wants some, pull up close and you can warm your toes, when your front gets too warm, just turn around till the back starts itchin from the heat and do it all over again, LOL.
