Yipee, its gonna be a good new year

THANK GOD. My daughter was hired as a dispatcher by the Kerrville Police Department. Its been a tough six months since she was laid off but as I keep telling her, things work out for the best. She was laid off from a job for a small computer place that paid her under the table thus no benefits and no unemployment when she was laid off. Its ironic that I was in my 40's when I went to work for the San Diego Police Department and thanks to them, I have a retirement. I'm so relieved and I can stop worrying about her and dipping into my savings to help her out. All she has been able to find is parttime work and she's been doing housecleaning on the side to make ends meet but its been tough. What a great Christmas present. I firmly believe God gives you what you need WHEN you need it. I don't think she was really ready for this until now. Since she also dispatches fire and ambulance, they train her in CPR and EMS.

Praise the Lord! He does provide those who look to Him with all our need according to His wishes. (Not always our wishes or what we might expect)

That is great news Karen, congrats to your daughter. My daughter has done that
for a good 15+ years and on occassion the dept had family day where she could
have family come in and visit and sit with her while she did her job, they had a
"secondary" line we could tap into and listen in on the calls. It was quite interesting.

Absolutely wonderful news! Plus, if you get a ticket in Kerrville, she'll have your back! And a very merry and blessed Christmas to you!
