Wet and wavy Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wet and wavy Wednesday

Good Morning All - Woke up this a.m. to a rain storm and pounding waves. All has passed now and there is a beautiful snrise. But me thinks today is going to be very warm and humid. Drove into Guasave - about 25 miles inland - yesterday and went to the "swap meet" so to speak - lots and lots of kids toys. But found fresh made sweet bread and churros. Made by the cousin of the guy in El Fuerte. Went to WalMart and had the girls in the deli make us some potatoe salad - can't find it here.
Had our neighbors, from Montana for dinner last night. Didn't think we could fit 4 in here to eat but we managed. Kind of fun to have company. They have a 24' class c and have traveled all over Mexico and Central America.
I see in IN they will be having rain and ice. ugh. Just looked out the window and the rooster and his six hens are wandering around the camper. They better stay away from the restaurant.
Hope you all have a wonderful day - I haven't checked yet but has anyone heard from Beth or Jean?

GOOD LATE MORNING TO ALL!!

It was so nice to be able to shut off my rooster-crowing alarm clock at 4:30, and go right back to sleep! I finally realized how late it is when Molly came up lie across my chest and gently slip her cold, wet nose, repeatedly, underneath my hand! She really had to get outside as it was a good 4 hours later than her usual routine!

It's hovering at right around zero out there, and lightly snowing----truly a winter wonderland.

Yesterday afternoon UPS delivered me my Christmas present to my self! It's a 7 inch AC/DC TV/DVD player for my new truck camper top! It draws only 18 watts of power, has its own built-in Lithium-Ion battery (will run for 2.5 hours all by itself), comes with an AC charger/converter, a car 12 volt power cord (for ciggie lighter socket or socket in my portable 12 volt jumper/compressor) has a USB socket to plug in my MP3 player for viewing videos on that, and another card slot for SD cards to view pics or videos stored on that, 2 antennas---one that hooks directly to the unit, and one with a long cord to stick outside to attract any digital channels for free over the air, and is can be cable or satellite hooked up! It also has a remote controler. I am getting our only 3 digital channels in the area, one of which is High def, all broadcast by our local PBS station. It is the only TV I have that can tune those in without satellite hookup here in the house, so I am SO excited about it! It's black, covered with rubberized paint to help protect it, has a removable stand----oh heck....I'm going to take a picture of it and post it here!

I'll edit this post later and include a couple of pictures of my new toy! The best thing is, I got it from a new company who was having a grand opening sale, and it offered a price about $50 lower than all other companies I had been checking out, plus free shipping! With the NY State tax I had to pay, it was a total of $110.00!! It would have cost me anywhere from 150 to 200 dollars anywhere else. this company is GREAT, as far as I'm concerned---it was mailed out promptly and got here in 3 days, good packaging, everything there, brand new, never-opened package.

So, pull up a chair and have a cup of hot, fresh coffee while you tell us where you are and what's going on in your world! I will get the pics I just took downloaded and then post them on here.

Happy Wednesday!!

Here are a few pics. It's running on its own power in these pictures, with an antenna on a cord lying against the kitchen window. The DVD player is under the screen, which opens up to expose the mechanism. I never heard of this brand of electronics before, but, at the moment, I am more than happy with it!

Kids' show on channel 57 at the moment.

Another shot of the kids' show. I LOVE this little gadget! Now I can even have TV in a tent and the leanto without carrying around a huge, heavy 12 volt battery. At 18 watts usage, it should run for a long time on one 12 volt battery charge!

Now a couple of pictures of our snowy day:

The fire-watching easy chair covered with about 18 inches of snow, waiting for the first winter campfire of the season!

Good morning all!

I'm back at work,.... a nice day here at school, everyone is smiling and happy. We have two hour special assembly this afternoon... "Student Showcase". Our high school students read their poetry, show their videos, demonstrate their science experiments, etc. The video production class is always well represented and exciting. So many talented kids here.

Tonight my family will join us for an early christmas. We have sprial cut ham, french canadian meat pie, salads, rolls, desserts and of course choice of beverage,... wine, soda, etc. Usually we have this family time on christmas eve but my DiL's parents are getting re-married tomorrow night,... soooooooo we pushed it ahead to tonight.

christmas eve day Kath and i will enjoy a peaceful day and evening,... on christmas day we'll open our own gifts and then stop in at the grandchildren's to see their excitement and smiles.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Chilly and damp feeling here. No new snow but I think we might still have a little bit left of what we got that will hang on for Christmas. Would be so awesome if we got some fresh stuff for Christmas.

We will be going into town to do a little running around. Only have a couple of things left to get for the kids for Christmas and that will be it. Oh, I have to renew my tags on the Blazer. We will probably be leaving here the middle of next week and hit the road. I so wanted to go to the FL GTG but gonna have to take a miss on it. ??? Maybe Kelly and I will be able to get to the TX one. We can hope any way.

Kids are out the door going someplace. I know Connor has a drs appointment at 1pm. They are gonna do a dye thing for his bladder and urinary tract. I think it's to see if his bladder is emptying the way it's suppose to?

No breakfast here this morning just lots of coffee. Had to make up some extra this morn as David was attacking the pot. ;)

Soos that is a neato new toy you have gotten. I do believe that it's something that I would surely be interested in too. So be sure that you post where/who you got it from.

It's time I got off here and into the shower. I've been imitating a hermit and need to get the crud scraped off. Not to mention that my hair is standing on end from tossing and turning in my sleep last night.

Hope everyone has a great day. For goodness sake if you are in the new snow storm area PLEASE be careful and be prepared!!!

Love to all

Made a grocery store run and a stop at the bank to cash a check......also stopped at the Feed Store to pick up two bales of straw to put down on the major dog path out to the bigger yard...so now instead of wet muddy paws Stuart came in as "straw dog" .....he has the longest coat and manged to have half the sections spread before I could get out and finish the job. I had initially just tossed the broken bales over the fence until I could go around and separate them.... It will be better and of course once it FREEZES again :( there will be nothing to carry in but the snow ball if and when it snows  My fingers have finally gotten some feeling back into them so I am off to do laundry and read a book......covered with two English Cockers and occasional pieces of straw.. :D

I got my new toy here:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/6 ... ifications

I see that the price has gone up 15.00 from when I ordered it, and it doesn't say FREE SHIPPING any more, either. Glad I acted fast when they had their 'Grand Opening'!!

Hope that info helps...you can check other sites for prices, too. It's still a better price than anywhere else I found.
