little local birds that run around....Gambles quail, they are absolutely adorable
with their little families when they have chicks. They will only fly at the last
minute, I'm always afraid I'll run over them on the road so I always brake for
the ones that don't run so fast.

they are cute we have them out here in the desert (blm) land as well enjoy them and enjoyed your pictures...a few days ago I put out one of those 'sacks' for thistle seed had some seed left from last spring so filled the sack thought if noone come in a few days will dump it and use fresh also put out hummingbird feeders one flew about reminding me that they were here :lol: today we had a couple of verdin's hummers lots of gold finch and a house finch guess the old food was ok

I, too, love the quail. At my son's home near Sacramento, CA, he has an open field behind his home and it's always alive with these cuties..also turkeys.
