Geminid Meteor Shower Tonight

The meteors are supposed to start being visible here in Yuma, AZ around 10:00 tonight and last pretty much all night. There's a new moon so no light from the moon to worry about. Jenny, Beth, and I are going to drive out away from the city lights later on tonight and see what we can see. I've never been disappointed with the Geminids.

No meteor shower gazing for me tonight! There is a -35 below windchill out there right now. Can't even look out the windows because they are all frosted over! I hate winter! Wish I could see the shower tho. How awesome! It would be worth staying up late for if it weren't so dang horribly cold out here! Brrrrr!!!

I'm embarrassed. Jenny, Beth, and I made arrangements to drive out to where it's a little darker at 10:00 tonight. Since it was only 8:30 when we returned from checking out al the Christmas lights here, I took my glasses off, turned out the light (I'm boondocking, after all), and closed my eyes "for just a little while." I just woke up a few minutes ago. Must have been the really long walk I took earlier this afternoon and all the fresh air. Only stars I saw were in my dreams.

You and Sparkle both. Jenny and I were out there - didn't really see anything though.

Spanky, er, I mean Sparkle, you're not going to take that lying down, are you? Don't let her get away with it.
