My 38 yr old son got hurt mountain biking last Friday. He has been in terrible pain with 7 broken ribs on his left side, (broken near the spinal column), his right elbow is broken in 4 places and his left wrist is shattered. My son is a Dr in the military and is left handed.
On Tues. at 1:30 PM PST he was taken into surgery to repair the breaks in his wrist and elbow. After 3 hrs, my dil got word that they had only done his elbow with plates and screws and had a hard time getting those in because the breaks kept moving etc. Finally at just after 8 she got word he was taken to the ICU for recovery.
He is understandibly in great pain and is experiencing numbness in some fingers on the wrist injury side inwhich they used 13 screws to get it back together. The Dr thinks it's because they had to manipulate the nerves so much. Another great concern is him getting pneumonia and more so with having the broken ribs. So please keep him, my dil and g'daughter lifted in prayer.
I'm trying to make arrangements to fly down to CA after I've gotten some of my DR appts seen to next week. Right now I'm not finding room for Choco, my furbaby, at any of the boarding kennels that my vet referred me to.
Thanks, everyone!

Oh, Lenora, I'm so sorry to hear about your son. I'm lifting him up in prayer right now. I'll also be praying for you that God will smooth the way for you to get there to be with him. I know that you know He is our ever present help in trouble.

Lenora,

I do hope and pray all will go well for you and your family... No one likes to hear this kind of news..Such ashame.. and I know the frustration of trying to get things done so you can go see him... WE all will definitely keep you and your Son and his family in our prayers.

God Bless

Lenora, Your son, his family and your entire family are in my prayers during this very trying time - and the trying time that will be sure to follow as he starts healing and isn't able to do everything he did before. I'm so sorry for what's happened and pray that he can heal in both body and mind.

And I sure hope you can find someone for your furbaby - how terrible that no one recommended can take Choco - do not be afraid to give your emergency story - as maybe one of them will find a way to squeeze in "just one more".

Oh, Lenora! I'm so sorry your son is hurt. I'll be sending up prayers for him, DIL and the doctors as they patch him back together. He must have had quite a tumble!
