My rv is a Georgie Boy Maverick so I just call it "Maverick". Rving isn't big in my area and my kids think I dance to my own tune so Maverick seems to fit. :) My Garmin is "Gertie" after my Mom. I didn't want a truck but needed to haul things so the Rav4 is "Tonka".

No name yet for my Pleasureway. Previous Roadtrek didn't have one either. The TomTom gps is called Tomasina because of the female voice. Beth calls hers Tom cause she uses a male voice.

We call our 40' diesel pusher Alfie cause it is an Alfa - our jeep is called Willie cause his spare tire cover reminds me of Willie Nelson without the braids. The 29' RV we are in Mexico in is a Jamboree so her name is Jennie (also had an Aunt Jennie who was always ready to go or try anything so it fits.) Our GPS was called Gypsy until we got mad at each other now she is called Gertrude after another Aunt who had an attitude. My husband is fondly refered to in my posts as The Driver. We do have our web page www.movingon1.com on the back of Jennie and Willies liscense is MVNON2

My son named my Class C "Flitter" because she would flitter here and there taking me to interesting places. We decided her logo was a hummingbird - appropriate for flittering!

My bet would be that they have Tom Toms rather than Garmins.

I'm not big on naming things. My cats usually don't get named until they have to go to the Vet. That's the first thing they ask me "What's it's name". I have a Garmin GPS and when she gives me directions I say "yes dear". I need to find the mute button or volume control. It gets aggravating when she keeps insisting that I turn around. At least it gives me someone to talk to when I travel.

My son hooked up one of those wireless router things when he was here and named the site "The Lazy K". I'm not sure but I think I should be insulted. :?

I refer to my rig as "The Escape Capsule." But I don't talk about it that way in conversation. Maybe in this day of acronyms, (KFC, Big K, etc.) I can just say, "Well, I'm going to go back to the EC."

My first rig, an old Class A was called Miss Piggy because she was a gas guzzler. Then came Ther Beach House, all pink, blue and sand colored. I loved that rig until I totalled it. Had to find another in a hurry, and it's called It'll do! Well it'll do until I save up enough for a Class C. I'm tired of trying to park a TT. Dan, an expert at parking, backed me in and although I did everything he told me, it still took a lot of jockeying. I thought I would get to the point I could just swing in, pull forward to straighten out and I'd be good to go. But now I see that will never happen, so "It'll do" is going to be "It's Gone". May take a couple of years, but it'll do until then.

Hmmm I've flip flopped a bit with mine...Have a Class A Sea Breeze so thought of Breezy, but then of late "My Aloha" as she is my love and I feel it sourroud me when I go out there and visit with her every now and then. Jeep is nameless, as is the Garmin. You all are pretty creative with some of your names.

Well whatever I end up with is gonna be named 'George'. Not for Tioga George but for the cartoon where the one character kept asking, "Which way did he go George?" Then when wandering I can be asking, "Which way do I go George?" This will work for a pickup pulling a trailer or for a class c, so we'll be good to go. :D

I found a used 21 foot camper van on the internet yesterday in Central Minnesota. It looks like it is in very good condition. It is really cute too - on the spare tire cover is a picture of Lucy (from Peanuts) standing at her psychiatry booth. And across the front of the van above the cab is another picture of Lucy carrying some balloons. It is adorable! Of course, if I bought it, I would have to name the van Lucy, which was also the name of my first and favorite and much missed ferret. I will have to check with my SO, since he is paying for it :D What questions should I ask the owner? What things are absolute necessities and which things are deal breakers? I know it does not come with a generator so I would have to buy one.

Barbie
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, could you post the link to the camper you're looking at. The ladies here (WAY more knowledgeable than I) can maybe take a peek at the listing and get a feel for questions you should ask.

For Soos - SO = Significant Other (Barbie, Soos doesn't do acronyms...)
