I had a good day, we ate a late lunch at Guadalajara's Mexican Restaurant and then went to WalMart and walked it off, finishing the Christmas shopping. After that we went to my sister's house, today is her granddaughter's 10th birthday also, so we always share cake and ice cream on our day.

HaHa! I don't do initials for real words, remember that? I get way too confused as to what they mean, including all the DD things you all use in your posts. I now just assume you are talking about someone in your family, but have no clue if they are husbands, sons, daughters, grandkids, in-laws, or whatever! I have no idea how that tradition began to speak about people in shorthand, but it's prevalent now. (And NO-----please don't send me a cheat sheet to keep by my computer so I can translate! I don't do translations, either! I don't have the patience to deal with stuff like that! I just assume your "DD" things are family members of some sort, and go from there! )

Surely ALL your family members cannot be "Dear" somethings??? I have some family members I would have to preface with "SD" (semi-dear) or "ND" (not dear), or "NDBFAH" (not dear but funny and happy) or "SA" (Sorry a%%) or....on and on! Way easier for me to call them what they really might be! It's just a learning disability I have, and I have no intention of getting over it at my age! All those park/campsite abbreviations, and government abbreviations, and whatever else abbreviations just leave me totally confused, frustrated, and not willing to try to figure them out unless I am in a puzzle-solving mode! (Which is just about never when I am reading posts!)

My kids' (students') Individual Education Plans (IEPs---ACK!) at school are filled with tons of shorthand letters that I have no clue what they mean. All involve various learning disabilities (like mine! and behavorial syndromes, all described in shorthand. Very much like trying to translate Greek for me!

So SOB! for me is just that-----sob as in weep!
