I Really Didn't Think It Rained That Much...

I sure wish I'd have been visiting with the Skinny Naked Guy, really...

Needed to hook up the little trailer last night for an early morning appointment this morning. Van battery's dead. Little portable charger thing I keep in the van - dead, too. G didn't really remember how to do it, so we just played around with his battery charger until the damn van started.

Woke up this morning at 2:00AM. Out of bed at 3:00AM. Read until time for a shower (6:30). Took the trailer to the dealer and the tech re-caulked almost every single seam on the trailer. He said there were several spots that could turn into problem areas. So, I think it was $150 well spent - every window and the outside speakers and the outside lights are now newly caulked. Side seams and roof seams re-done, too. And he showed me what to look for and how to do it.

Drove home. Had the trailer in its little carport once, but wanted more room on the door side. This is the result. We are now waiting for the calvary to arrive for the rescue operation...I truly did not believe it rained that much yesterday!!

I don't know what I want more - a drink or a nap...

I've found my sister RVer. I can get bogged down on a beach and she can get bogged down in HER DRIVEWAY. I don't want to hear another WORD about my beach adventures! er, sorry about your mishap, Mitch.

Was so nice of you to do this just to make Sparkle feel better. Definitely drink first - BIG one - then nap.

Doesn't look to me like she's in a driveway, looks to me like she's trying to 4X in an empty field.....you're still numero uno Sparkle! 'Sides, she's not nearly as deep in the mud as Vickie was when she got home.

Hope today goes better for you Mitch, and that you got a good night's sleep. I'd vote for the nap...sleep deprivation is a scary thing. :o

Kid stuff! We managed to mire a 35' motorhome into mud OVER the hubcaps. Just arrived in Watkins Glen, NY and didn't know they had received record rainfall the previous week. No wonder we were the only ones in the RV park! Of course the owner failed to mention that little tidbit. Good old emergency road service. Worth its weight in gold! And a big yeah to the little tire company down the road that allowed one of its employees to spend over an hour getting all the mud out of our wheels, brakes, etc. FREE!

You just have a pimple on the nose of RVing! One of our adventures to tell each other over and over and over . . . .

Dog-gone-it - I woke up (from my CarolynCooler-aided 9-hour nap) and the van and trailer were in the same position as they were when I went to bed! No Tow Fairies must be watching over NW TN!

Calvary is supposedly on its way (before he goes to work). I see a HUGE tray of homemade lasagna and homemade cream puffs in my future...(payback).

PIcs to follow. And today is not starting out much better - electricity just came back on after a 90 minute outage, one of the surveillance cameras is on the blink (those little buggers ain't cheap!). And after more than 3 weeks, I still don't have a refrigerator in the house.

But the very worst of the worst is I'M OUT OF CHAMPAGNE!!!!! No more Carolyn Coolers until I resolve that problem!

I'm gonna go pop that pimple on my RVing nose!

Oh Mitch, sounds like some of my misfortunes made it up to TN. So sorry.
I know your day will get better. You just have to change your beverage of choice for the day.

All fixed! No pics, though - I had to help the guys because George stayed in the house to wait for the yet-to-come phone call from the appliance repair guy!

HE (George) can fix the ruts!

I ordered 2 cases of champagne this morning and they can be picked up Tuesday.
One and all are invited to join me in cracking several open!!

Trailer's back in its little carport and now negotiations are underway regarding the JAN FL GTG!

I have to strongly agree with Sharon - I can't hold a candle to Sparkle's 'parking place'...
