GOOD MORNING ALL!!
It's a balmy 48 degrees here this morning! That's extremely weird and very un-good for an area that depends on snow for its income in the winters. Our cross-country ski team at school has become nothing more than a running team at this point. It's very sad!
Cedar, it sounds as if your granddaughter is right back into the basketball stuff, as are you! Sure do hope you're feeling better now. I guess you gave Kath your cold in the chatroom the other night!
My classroom teacher will be out today, working on all those IEPs for our 13 students, so we'll have a sub who will work with us to try to get another 10, or more, wreaths made and trimmed. Tomorrow there will be no school for students, but we teachers have an all-day presentation of some sort for a Superintendent's Day.
My old kitty is really winding up his life at this point. I was hoping he might make it until Christmas, but I have my doubts. It's getting harder and harder for him to get around now, like a very old man he is moving. I may take him for his final shot this weekend. It will kill me to have to do it, but there is no need for an old cat to suffer the kind of death we sometimes have to allow our old humans to endure. I will know when it's time. Some aspects of owning four-footers never get easier.
That band of dangerous weather that crossed FL last night has passed from the Orlando area now, Sso my son who is that area must be ok, hopefully, or I would have heard something from him. The tornado watch has now been lifted. Hope Liz fared well down there, too, and everybody else.
Our forecast for today is for possible thunderstorms! December thunderstorms is just NOT a normal weather pattern for us!
Coffee is hot and good, so pull up a chair and tell us about your day. I'm off to make another pot, get dressed, and head out into the morning weather, whatever if may be. We had heavy winds and rain all night long, but I think more of the same is coming.
