MONDAY AND LAST DAY OF NOVEMBER 09

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY AND LAST DAY OF NOVEMBER 09

GOOD (EARLY) MORNING TO US ALL!

Here we go again, back to the old grind after some wonderful free days. If I can believe it, my thermometer reading this morning is higher than it was when I went to bed last night---it's saying it's about 40 degrees! I believe I can hear rain out there, too.

My daughter helped me do some 'figuring' yesterday afternoon, to try to determine if I can afford to retire. She still insists I can, but it looks really bleak to me. I need to make up my mind some day before I die at the helm.

I have a doc's appointment today at 11:30 this morning, so I'll have to leave my post for an hour, or so. They frown on taking days off just before or just after a holiday, so I couldn't take a personal day or a day off of any kind. The appointment is just one required so that my doc can update my prescriptions...no problems that I am aware of, so I will make sure they don't 'touch' me in any way as I stand, rather than sit on those germ-infested chairs! I don't want to be weighed, I will have my blood pressure checked, and perhaps show my doc the latest generic drug list from my health plan, in hopes he can prescribe one of those instead of the expensive brand. I will pray there are no coughing, hacking, sneezing, germ-laden people in there who can infect me! ACK!

Coffee is Hazlenut and tastes really good with French Vanilla creamer. You all will have to scrounge for your own breakfast to go with it, as I don't do breakfasts at this hideously early hour! Here's hoping you all have a good day wherever you may be. Don't forget to shout RABBITS tomorrow morning on December 1st if you want good luck for the upcoming month! It has to be the first word out of your mouth for it to work, according to legend! I will try to make sure I don't swear when the alarm goes off before I say RABBITS!!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Hope the doc visit goes well with no surprises..... I am off myself to take SM to one of her doc and hopefully will get in touch with one of my ex co-workers from my year at the vet clinic, so we can plan a gtg for lunch. The dogs are full of themselves and trying to play under the table and over my feet. Their enthusiasm is catching..... Hope everyone finds some enjoyment in their journey today......even the little things matter!

RABBITS? That's a new one for me, Soos. Will try it.

Think I'll drive out to the Cibola Wildlife Refuge this morning. http://www.wildlifeviewingareas.com/wv- ... ParkID=196

Still trying to make up my mind about an upcoming trip. Money is the big consideration (isn't it always?) Common sense says I really can't/shouldn't do it right now. Sense of adventure says go ahead. Perhaps I'll be able to get a little more clearness watching animals and birds.

Hmm - still some brownies left - sounds like a great breakfast along with some Good Earth tea.

Good morning everyone, looks as though we're going to have a cloudy day here but at least it isn't too cold. We rented some movies for the weekend and only one Vicky Cristina Barcelona was good the rest were silly to the point of being too annoying to watch.

Soos, if I were you I would be out of that job so fast they would just feel the breeze as I whizzed out the door! Life is too short to live in turmoil plus it is hard on your health. Just think you could head to Florida or Texas for winters! There are workcamp jobs to consider for parts of the year if you felt the need. Good luck I'll be thinking about you.

Have a wonderful day all.

Morning!
Just finishing up on the computer and my cup of coffee. I'll get some breakfast next and then out the door to Curves to workout. Gotta get off all the ##s I packed on over the long weekend. I didn't hold back on the potatoes and desserts and the scale is already showing it!! :o ;)
Our weather is forecasted to be sunny to partly cloudy and getting colder as the week progresses and by the weekend we'll be in the low 30s for highs!! A couple weathermen are excited that perhaps we'll see a few flakes, but probably won't happen. Not enough moisture in the airstream.
The Seattle news just showed the pictures of the fallen police officers. All young and with little ones. Continue prayers for them, please. What a horrible event, and so close to all the major holidays. They now have a house in Seattle surrounded thinking the shooter is in there. After shooting in tear gas and no one coming out, they suspect he may already be dead.

Soos, when I've been in a quandry about should I shouldn't I, the thought would come to me, "something else has to happen." It would be like a sign of some kind. When I was deciding whether to full time or not, someone said, "you are really comfortable in this job, aren't you?" That was enough for me. I realised that was what was stopping me. Moving out of my comfort zone. So I stepped out and have never looked back. But you need to find your own trigger. Who knows, it might be something your Doctor tells you today.

Good Morning All - The sun is shinning and the sky is bright blue with no wind. No plans for today - except dig out my shorts.
Cooked dinner in here last night - going to have to do it a few more times to find a routine. For sure it is a one person job.
Will make a run to the bakery for sure - have to buy bread and rolls every day.

Soos, just a thought - I don't know what you think you need to retire - but for all of us, that's a totally different amount. I'm living so frugally people are always amazed - considering what I'm doing. It's not always how much it costs - it's learning to live differently. For me, this differently has been a really good thing.

Kind of like Mexico. It'll probably be cheaper for me this winter to be traveling around MX than to be staying put somewhere here. Things are cheaper there - and I'll get to still travel. How kewl is that? My most expensive costs are maintenance on the rig, which if I didn't have it on the rig, I'd have it on a house or apartment, or car(s) etc. So, it's not more, just a different maintenance :)

Hope it all works out for you. And Sparkle and I are back on the road in a while today. We are not hurrying - love that we don't have to.

Good morning all.

My tiny family Thanksgiving get together went well. There were only 5 of us - all that is left on my mother's side of family. We had turkey with typical southern trimmings and enough left overs to take plates to 3 elderly friends lacking family in area.

Thursday night I began to feel a nasty cold developing. I have been so careful was caught by surprise. Think I must have picked up a germ when I went for followup appointment on my hand. Anyway, have been really miserable and stayed in bed for the most part of last 3 days. Am finally feeling a bit better this morning. Keep telling myself - at least it doesn't feel flu-like. Will try to take it easy for a couple more days but do have to go out to take care of a few things later today.

Soos - I do think something will happen to help you with decision on retirement. Not necessarily something big. Just stay open to what your heart and head tell you is best.

Wishing all a safe day.
