Okay.....Here's the story....My sister, Barb, and her family have 2 British Bull Dogs.....the female is 6 yrs. old and the male is 2yrs......well, they have been trying to breed the female for the last 4 yrs.....have taken her all over the western part of PA and western NY state and never had any luck....the vet. told them that some dogs have a condition that prevents them from having puppies....well, since they had such rotten luck, 2 yrs. ago they got the male as a puppy.....well, Ruby (the female) was in heat when I was up there in June....yes, I was also doggy sitting there......we all knew they may have mated, but weren't sure.....giving Ruby's past history.....but Morgan, the male, is a good boy.... ........Anyways, Barb took Ruby to the vet last Fri. for him to check to see if there were any puppies....well, the vet checked, did x-rays, etc....and told them "No puppies".....so they made arrangements to have Ruby fixed as they decided that they didn't want to try to breed her again and because of her age.....well, Barb took Ruby to have her surgery yesterday...and the vet. checked again before doing the surgery, stating again that there were no pups.......but that he would be careful just in case......so she calls around 5pm as instructed to see if they could pick up Ruby to bring her home and found out that.....yes, there was puppies, but only 1 is alive!!!...... ....I don't know yet, if it is a he or a she, but it is at home and poor Barb and Mac (BIL) are having to feed this little sweetie every 2 hours......until Ruby recovers from her surgery.....I don't have any more details than that, but I got PHOTOs of the little bugger.....
So, guess I'm a Puppy Aunt again.....
