Sunday----27 days 'til Christmas!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday----27 days 'til Christmas!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Where, oh where did this vacation time go? Back to the salt mines tomorrow----makes me sick to think of it. ACK!

It's 29 today, so far, but the sun is coming up into a clear sky at this point....YIPPEE!!! Maybe I'll drive the Kicker to the pond and spend some quality time down there, after I do my laundry which I put off until today. I have a couple of bills to pay, including one biggie for the taxes on the FL house. I will put that onto a Chase check with 0% interest for a few months---4% up front fee, but it'll be worth it to not touch any money in my meager savings. If I get that in the mail tomorrow, I will save that amount by paying the bill early.

Coffee is done and tastes really good! Hope you all stop by and tell us about your day or your plans, or whatever. Happy Sunday....only 27 days left 'til Christmas!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Morning Soos, gosh those vacations days can zip by, savoring the final hours at the pond sounds like a very good idea. It's so mild here....mid sixties inside and out. Maybe a thunder storm later. At home I would have been hauling firewood all ready for the past month so you can bet I don't take this lovely weather for granted for a minute!

Oh and those bills, this month it's been a couple BIG and unplanned expenses....new water heater and broken washing machine have put a significant dent in my budget. And holidays coming up, really just extras like food, activities, all gifts are finished. Well, not quite, I'm still knitting!

Breakfast is tea and mini Heath bars, very yummy, not so healthy, but I'm willing to share.....hope everybody has a fun day!

Diana, I love your breakfast! I'm trying my best to forget the fresh brownies I made yesterday are in the freezer. C'mon, everybody, please raid my fridge.

Nothing on the agenda today except perhaps a long walk this morning. At least the wind isn't blowing as hard as it was yesterday. I finally got around to addressing the beautiful cards I got for my daughters and son at a Cracker Barrel somewhere in New Mexico a few weeks ago. Handmade paper and just the right sentiments.

about it. No tv today as I don't want to hear anymore about shopping. I left
it off most of yesterday too. I will do a little house cleaning, but ya know
thats a given cause its always there to do.
Have a great day and be safe in whatever you do.

Good morning to all - Had a power outage last night here in Kino - lots of wind and blowing sand. But all is fine today and the satellite stayed connected.
The little white church on the hill had services last night at 5p.m. For those of you who don't know when we were here 4 years ago we had driven up the hill to check it out. Our timing was perfect - the couple who had built it "to give back to the community" were there and the town's priest. He said a Palm Sunday Mass - the first Mass ever said there. And we were invited to participate. It was a wonderful experience. But it still looks like there is no parking at the top of the hill, all but 2 or 3 cars have to park half way up and the worshipers have to hike the rest of the way.
Drove over to the old town yesterday and watched the fishermen and vendors and people just walking around. Put some pictures on my blog.
Last night went to dinner Bill had Chilis Rellenos I had fried fish of some sort very good. Then we went to the boat ramp to watch the sunset. Very Pretty. Today?????? Maybe just to ease my conscience I'll vacuum. Maybe!
Good day and safe travels to all. Hasta Manana

Morning,
Nothing on the agenda for me. A shower later. Maybe. ;)
I think I'll wait until tomorrow to do any Christmas shopping. I figure Monday AM will be good cause everyone else is back to work and/or resting after a weekend of shopping themselves. Well, I can hope!
Yesterday was my DD's birthday so she and her hubby went to the movies and I watched the GDs. They saw the movie with Sandra Bullock about taking in that young man and he plays football. It's based on a true store and they both really liked the film.
Before they went to the movies I had snacks made and we played Super Mario on the Wii. Great fun!! We played another hour or so before they left to go home. I think I might buy the game as one of their Christmas presents.
My DIL is having problems with her nodes in her neck again. She had mono a couple times as a youngster, but in the past couple years she's suffered from it again and the bouts are getting worse and closer together. Very rare for an adult to get mono. The Infectious Disease people were notified earlier this year and all the tests she took didn't show anything. They took 7 vials of blood yesterday and are running more tests and Infectious Disease is being called in again. They also gave her meds in an IV. I'd appreciate prayers for an answer.
Hug to all!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!!

Oh I'm just getting in here under the wire. :D Tho I do have a little more time this morn that I've had a few other times. And seeing as how David is back home from his big hunting adventure ( ) I figured I had better get my butt to the coffee and breakfast goodies being offered in here.

Right at the moment it's only Conner and I in the kitchen but he isn't adding to the conversation cause he's sleeping. But David & Jenny are in the bedroom talking and Kelly is still asleep. So it's just me here at the table. Drinking the last cup out of my morning pot and I'm pretty satisfied coffee wise so I doubt very much if I will bother to make another pot. If David ever gets his butt back out here he offered to do eggs this morning. WooHoo never ever turn down someone offering to make me breakfast.

Kids went to Jenny's aunt and uncles for a Thanksgiving dinner last eve and brought home a bunch of different desserts. Cake, pie, cookies and brownies and seeing as how there is so much of it I thought I would share, so that's my offering this morning!!! ;)

Christmas? That's something that Kelly and I don't really celebrate anymore. Last year when all of us lived together we did but that was the first time in like 5 or 6 years. We might get each other one gift each but that will be about it. I have truly come to hate all the hype and commercialism that deals with all the holidays.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and remembers to stay safe!!!!!!

Love to all

Good Morning all,

Not sure I want to get back into any routine. It has been nice and quiet. Have most of the outside lights up.
I can not believe that Christmas is that close. I need a couple more months to save up some $$$. Heck we are still trying to payoff the summer trip disaster/repair bills.

They say we are to get a break from the rain and have some sunny days...then a cold front will move in and we will have a chance of snow.

I am ready for the ice conditions this year. I have studded snow tires on the truck. Then I have made arrangements to park up at the neighbors. Since I have turn around in their drive way and they are at the top of the steep hill that we live on. Whereas we are about 3/4 of the way up.

Ali and Ron are on their way home..they should arrive late today or tomorrow and hopefully all went well and they return to a motorhome ready to go.
I think Charlie (their dog) misses them. I know our cats would love to see him go away. The cats hide all day and stay downstairs. All though Charlie has learned to leave them alone...the Siamese cat has put him in his place.

You all have great day.
