Beth, did you ever see the movie Fatal Attraction? Glenn Close has a line in it, "I won't be ignored, you know." I think it was just after that the the pet rabbit is found cooking in the pot. Have you seen Peaches lately? Hey hey hey (wicked laugh)

I love reading your posts, both of you, and seeing your pics! As for cactus, as pretty as they are in pics, I have no desire to get anywhere NEAR them, and needles through the soles of my shoes or in Molly's feet are not something I would be able to enjoy! I am sure I could out-cuss Beth any day!

Thanks for the pretty shots, however!

After reading the "pet rabbit" tidbit, I'm sure glad I didn't have a pet with me when I met the two of you in Mesa. "Wow - something sure smells good! Gee, Sparkle, thank you so much for the beautiful furry slippers. Wait.....is this what I think it is?" :x :x

Loved the comments, liked the pictures but cactus does very little for me. Now give me a beautiful mountain forest with tall green trees. Mmmmmmmm - my element
Tried to post a picture but it said file too big???????????

I think cacti are fine to visit, but wouldn't want them around every day, either. I enjoy them best in pictures.

Considering where I work...I bet if I reached into the little stash of cuss words that I have heard/learned in the past years...I could make both of your toenails curl!

Those Chollo cactus are NASTY - they will jump right off the plant and chase you down.
Yet another good use for Duct Tape - it pulls the spines right out of your tender spots. Voice of experience.

For those of you sensitive to language, the kid does use the "F" word once.
This is not the one G & I saw on tv yesterday.
Yesterday's was even worse...the guy flipped into the cactus patch with no shirt so he "would be awake for a long drive" he had to make!!

Janice, you have just single handedly ruined our reputations! Now I'll never get a date. It is funny though...we go into stores and visitors centers and the first thing people ask is if we are sisters.
But when I worked at the Antiques business I was squabbling with my boss George, and a customer said, "Oh you guys have been married too long!" So maybe its my attitude? Nah, I'm fine, it's all Beth's fault. :D

They are pretty, in pictures, but being a texan, i HATE HATE HATE cactuses! Thorns do NOT turn me on!! They are a nuisance and take over pastures and the animals get them in their mouths and get so infected they cannot eat , so they are a scourge for farmers and ranchers. Also,, snakes hide underneath them! the biting kind! eeeek!!!

The saguaros and the like,.. I am intrigued by them and I do think they are stately and all that , but the smaller and more spread out ones,, you can keep! :)

Thanks for the pics, tho... I don't mean to be negative,, just when you've had to pick them out of your dog, or your self, hands or BUTT.. (HA) you will know what I mean!

I prefer states that DO not have those!

why did God make stickers and snakes? can anyone wager a guess? I have always wondered!

love ya'll

Sparkle - a wonderful post as usual. Love sharing your adventures.
Also that is an impressive new photo of you. You look younger all the time. Something not fair about this, but more power to you.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!
