TGIF, And a foggy one too!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TGIF, And a foggy one too!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Wow some major fog here this morning and a very heavy dew. Took Shade out and sat down in the carport without giving it a second thought! Well let me tell ya when that cold wet soaked thru my sweatpants I gave it a thought. Nothing worse than a cold soggy butt first thing in the morning before you've drank the first 1/2 of your first cup of morning coffee! EWWWWWW! Temp outside is suppose to be only 30f and I think I believe it too. It's dang chilly out there. Suppose to be in the low 60's again today even if it never did get there yesterday!!!

Have a couple of early morning errands to run today then the rest of the day is wide open. Not to sure what is on the agenda. Dang woodstove went out again. David was the last one to 'feed' it for the night and I think he might have shut it down to much? Got to make that boy split some more kindling. Better him than me as it's not my fave past time.

Ok need to get it in gear. Got to wash my hair and what not and get going. Coffee is on and fresh, have English Muffins, butter, jelly and peanut butter for breakfast here this morning!!!

Love to all

Good Morning... it is sunny and cool here around 32 heading for 50+ so we are in for a treat... my fire place is crackling and feels good as I drink my morning coffee...
Now if the weather holds out for two more weeks I will be safely on my way to warmer places... this will be an adventure for me as I have not traveled that far in my old motor home yet... it did fine this summer when I was gone for 2 months so off I will go and deal with things as they happen...
I send each of you warm and happy thoughts; may your feet take you to new places....

..

Refrigerator repair man (only Amana authorized repair in my area) just left - $260 to install a $27 part (he was here about 30 minutes, and maybe 10 minutes of that was paperwork stuff)...I guess I was in the wrong business!

He wanted another $300 to replace the glide rails on the lower freezer drawer! I told him no.
When he left, I sprayed the rails with some of the best lubricant I've ever used (recommended by rv.net) and so far, so good.
I can do a lot of spraying for three hundred bucks!!!

No matter - it'll be great to have the fridge back in the house! AND before Thanksgiving, too!

Dang!!! That's better money than I would ever make on that street corner. $260 for 30 minutes. HIGH dollar 'service'!

Today's the last day at my mom's and my final project of the week. This one will be fun. She has a cupboard over a built-in table in the kitchen where she's kept the dishes she uses all the time. However, the shelves are almost impossible to get to. As a result, she usually stacks dishes on the counter or leaves them in the dish drainer in the sink. At age 84, she agrees that it's force of habit, and with her arthritis it's just too hard for her to move things around lately. I agree; I also hate to try to put things away in that cupboard.

So, we decided which cupboards would be best for certain things, and I'm going to do the "dirty work" this morning. She's also got many nicer dishes in the dining room cabinets that she doesn't use because they're too hard to get to. So, with her blessing, I'm going to "hide" the dirty, stained ones she uses now and replace them with some of the prettier ones.

She doesn't like to cook much any more, and for one person, why bother? But, eating out eats up most of the income she has. So, I made a meatloaf last night as well as some soup for the freezer. Perhaps being able to use some prettier dishes might be incentive to eat here once in a while.

After a few days of reinstalling things on this computer, it's almost back up to par again, with the exception of things I have to do back at the RV using disks. However, this machine now zips along - a new life, almost. So, Lou might fade into the sunset with a new woman, but at least he did some good computer work as a parting shot. Tonight he's bringing over a new power adapter to replace mine that's on its last legs. In exchange I'm going to give him the t-shirt ("Astronomers Do It Under The Stars) that I bought for him at Kitt Observatory. He'll donate it to the Astronomy Club auction. Seems a fair trade to me.

It's a beautiful day here (what's new? ).

Here is is cold and wet. The winds have finally died down. For several nights in a row now, we have been getting winds with gusts over 50 mph. We lost two smaller trees. It is the big ones I worry about. We have neighbors just down the road that not fair as well. A tree from across the street came down, took out their car and part of the house. Everyone was okay and that is the important part. The car can be replaced and the house can be repaired.

DS 12 team went to the Superbowl and WON!!! They had a great game, despite the wind blowing, but at least it was not rainy it was cold.
DD 15 started gymnastics with the high school team. She is very excited and wondered why she ever quit when she was little. You see when she was 3-4 we had her in a homeschool gymnastics class...she was the only girl in the class of 4 kids. She did not like being with all those boys. So she decided she did not want to do it anymore (she did finish out the year).

Kodie did great with her Stim testing she had, they are checking her growth hormone levels. We should have the results back early next week.

Other then that not much has been happening around here.
