MOODY MONDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MOODY MONDAY

GOOD MORNING ALL!!

36 degrees this morning---more like November weather. Monday, Monday-----can't stand this day. Saturday used to be my favorite day of the week when I was a student, and now that I am a teacher, Friday nights are my favorite. On Friday, I know I have two free days. On Saturday, I realize I have only one more morning that I don't have to get up to an alarm clock, so it robs from my appreciation of that day. I used to actually like teaching. However this year, I am not teaching, but baby sitting and policing. If I ever needed a nudge out of the door, I guess this is it.

Molly and I had a good walk yesterday afternoon, down to the very quiet about-to-freeze-over pond. No geese, no birds of any kind other than the transient Canada Jays who are so tame and bold as they come to humans for a handout. Tons of deer tracks and coyote tracks, and a lone wolf-size track all over in the wet sand and mud on the trails. Sure would love to spot the canid that left that huge foot trail! The poops are HUGE, too, and full of rabbit bones and bird bones and whatever. I suppose I should try to set up my game camera again. I got disgusted with the way that works...wish I had gotten the flash model now, rather than the infra-red model. Sigh---live and learn.

Coffee is hot now, so I need to get moving here. Stop by and tell us about your day and what exciting things are going on in your treks. 5 days of agony for me this week, and then only 2 days next week---that will have to keep me putting one foot in front of another for now.

Good-morning !! Soos, I feel so bad for you, the position you're in this yr. at school. Wish it would change for you, somehow. Its terrible, to feel that way each day heading to work. At least when its time to say good-bye to your job, you surely won't feel sad, will you?

Its colder here then up there, 32, this morning. Hope it doesn't stay there long, I don't have my r.v. winterized. In fact, had planned to be gone from here yesterday. Plans change though. I am having a new door put on and I really need it before I leave this time. It should have been here Friday, well, what should and is, thats a different story. So I have fingers and toes crossed, that the temp won't stay down there for too long.

Your discription of the poop you found sounds like a good sized bear, fix your camera , where we can all see what it is ok? Be looking forward to finding out.

Not sure what is on the agenda today, not supposed to be here. But I'm sure to find something to keep me occupied.

Hope everyone has a great day, now to see what you all are up too on the forum.

Safe and Happy travels,
Carol

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!

Brrrrr, have no idea what the temp is outside but it's for sure a chilly one out there. Temps today are suppose to get up into the mid 70s so it will warm up nicely.

David was suppose to wake me up this morning at 6am when he got up but I think he was running late. Kelly woke me up at about 7:30am I think it was? He did at least throw a few pieces of wood in the stove even if it was still cool in here. I popped the door open a little to get it going good then opened a vent cap when I shut the door. It's now warmer in here.

Mondays don't bother me as much as they use to for some reason? Even when I'm working, I really don't have any clue why either??? My favorite day has usually always been Sunday. To me it has meant a family day. X-H use to work on Sundays, most of the time I was working on Sundays or the kids were off at Gramma's. But Sundays we were usually all home and spent time together and I would fix a good meal on Sundays. Have never been one for going to church on Sundays as I am not a big fan of organized religion. Not to say that I don't believe in God but I guess I've seen to many shenanigans at churches. Most of the time the Pastors, Ministers, Deacons and what not remind me to much of politicians. Have no use what so ever for televangelist or their shows. Bunch of crooks after your last cent. Only ever knew one man of the cloth that I looked up to, respected and believed that he was a real honest to goodness Christian. ~sigh~

Poor Honey dog!! David took her with him yesterday out 4-wheeling. She came home so exhausted and lame that I asked what had happened to her. He grinned and said she had ran to the top of the 4x4 trail and back down. That he had to pick her up and put her into his Blazer when it came time as she couldn't do it herself. OMG I lit into him!!! Chewed a big chunk out of his butt!!! Reminded him that she isn't a pup anymore and that she's not used to that kind of exertion anymore. David has been busy enough with jobs, house, marriage and every thing else he doesn't take her out to hike, bike or run anymore and Honey has turned into a couch? floor? potato. Took Shade out for her last Pee before I went to bed last night and got Honey to go out too. Poor girl I didn't know if she was gonna be able to get up off her dog bed. Gave her 2 baby aspirins last night and 2 this morning. She is moving a little better. Couldn't remember the dosage so had Kelly look it up, Honey runs about 60lbs or more. Says 1 baby aspirin per 16lbs but I really didn't want to give her that much so that's why only 2. At least it's helping and will see how she does later.

David and Kelly worked last night on trying to set up his satellite internet here at the house, they are having quite the time. They have a satellite signal but I guess it's not the right one??? So Kelly will try again today with my help? LOL I get to watch the laptop screen while she is outside playing with the compass and tries to aim the satellite so that the little signal indicator beeper thingy sounds like it's suppose to? They charge $150 to come out and install? set it up? and no one wants to pay that price.

Have to go into town today, don't really want to. But hey!!! At least the trip to town is a whole lot shorter and a whole lot quicker here that it was out to the lodge. Only about 14 miles to get into town here. Well??? I guess I can't say that completely truthful? The little town of Church Hill is only maybe 5 miles from the house but we need to go to the metropolis of Kingsport to go to the bank! Will stop at the grocery store too. YUCK At least we don't have to go to a laundromat while staying here. That is a major bright spot!!!! But anyway that's the plans for today......

Hope ya'll have a great day and remember to stay safe!

Love to all

I think Beth and I are just going to have a "footering" (Scottish word) day. She needs to work on her web pages and clean and I need to wash my hair! If it wasn't for my hair I could boondock a lot longer, but it drives me nuts after about 4 days. Beth got her hair trimmed so she had a shampoo there. We are still in the Tucson area and love it. There is so much to do, and the city is small enough that you are out in the wilds in no time. I could live here!

Hey! I've used that stuff when I was driving truck!! Or at least stuff just like it. Works pretty dang good too. Can't equal taking a shower with lots of loverly hot water but then nothing else does either!!!

I remember the bottle saying that it's was the astronauts use.

I also carry No Rinse and use it when boondocking, especially the body wash. I get it at a local medical supply drug store.

I believe I bought mine online at Amazon. I like the body wash better than the shampoo - but have used the shampoo also.

My baths, when boondocking, consist of baby wipes or sink baths (sponge baths.) I don't need to wash my hair very often any more...my scalp isn't oily at all, and thus my hair stays fine for several days. With baby wipes, I wash down as fas as possible, then up as far as possible, and then wash possible! :)

After many years of living in tents deep in the woods, I got used to bathing in fast-rushing mountain streams, brooks, lakes, and ponds. You drink upstream, wash and bathe downstream! (And fish all over for supper!)

If I am hooked to water, I prefer a very hot bath at least every other day, including a head wash.
