This is a no win situation. I just remember that she lived with you when it was convenient for her. Doesn't sound like her mother is very friendly either.

My son was in a relationship where his girl friend was making his life he**. I was so afraid she would have a baby before he came to his senses. All I could do was tell him that marriage wouldn't make it better and if he wanted to live like that he better get use to it. She wasn't going to change and she wasn't going to change him. She was on him all the time because his cleaning wasn't up to her standards. I thought that was funny because when you went in their apartment you had to step over at least 6 pair of her shoes at the door. He finally had enough of it and moved out.

Thanks Paulette!

For the most part things have quieted down and seem more relaxed here. We are all talking more tho still walking on egg shells and trying the best we all can to not step on any toes.

David was on the crappy end of the stick last night with us 3 females, well 4 but one left. Have no idea what is going on between him and Jenny's best friend but WHEW! He was trying to make a long distance call last night when Jenny got done with Conner's bath. Which went better last night than it did before. But he pooped in his little baby seat in the tubbie. David was on the phone when Jenny held out the removable seat and asked him to throw it in the washer. When he said just a min he was on the phone the best friend grabbed it and headed for the door. David stood by the door and went to take it from her but she wouldn't give it to him. She proceeded to the back porch and threw it in the washer. He didn't know it had already been rinsed off so hung up the phone and went out to get it. All in all he was rude and played the part of an AZZ very well and got really snippy and snarky with the best friend. She got upset and left. Jenny, Kelly and I all jumped David's butt big time and let him know how much he resembled a jackass!!! He got upset with us and went out on the porch to wash the tubbie seat and some other clothes. I went out to talk to him and ask him what the heck "that was all about"? He says it's an on going thing and that she is also rude and snippy with him. We had quite the talk and chewing out session. He ended up going in the living room with Jenny and apologizing for his actions. He also called the best friend, using Jenny's phone and apologized to her. Sheesh!!!

Jenny has asked me what I said to him and what made him apologize like he did. I didn't tell her word for word but simply told her that I think a lot of it is that I am The Mom and David is The Son and years of talking to him and him conditioned to listening to 'me' goes a long, long way. Even if he is 27!!! Ya'll know how that goes! No matter how old ya are ya still listen when your Mom gets after ya!

I so wish my parents were still alive. I try hard to help out but Lord I sure could use some parental advice myself some times. ~sigh~

Goodness - if you're doing all that cleaning and laundry and "whatever" I wouldn't say you're lazy at all !! In fact, you can come stay with me :D
Sounds like things might be settling down a bit - marriage, a baby, a new place to live, visitors and life in general is allot to handle and I'm sure both "the kids" are still adjusting to life together, now add a baby and whew !!! Too much !!! I hope they can work things out - even though they may not think so, it's probably a good thing you're there - gives them someone else to bitch at for awhile and take a break from one another. Maybe it's the break they need to get themselves back in line.
Good luck to you all, keep us posted on how you're doing. (If you're brave enough that is - after some of the comments you got this time you might be a little hesitant !!! )

so.... little by little the reality comes out. Takes 2 to make an argument...I see David as not quite the "INNOCENT" party, either!

oh well,,

THEY and they alone are the ones who have to work it out. I pray that you can get out of the way as soon as possible and let them live their lives, and make or break their relationship.. no fault of yours! ;) We do the best we can, and every day I bite my tongue where MY DIL is concerned as I see her being stupid,, but I have no control, and it's their lives.. long as no one is in danger of bodily harm!

Hugs!
