Pics from Scotsdale or Mesa?

This met us at the campground. We were trying to shoo it back into the woods because I didn't want to run over it. It was as big as my hand.


Sunset the night Ava had dinner with us.


Belle wanted to see the Crane/Heron at the Lake at Ava's place. It stood so still we didn't think it was real until Ava got out and went close.


We went to Fountain today to see The Fountain. It rises some 500 and some feet on the hour every hour for 15 minutes. When the wind blows you get different shapes.

ewww, creepy tarantula, if that was at the campground that would be close to Mesa,
just outside the city limits. The sunset was gorgeous, didn't realize you snapped a
picture of it.
The fountain was at Fountain Hills, a nice little town next to Scottsdale, the fountain
proclaims itself to be the highest fountain in the world. It was pretty cool to watch,
when it first started, it shot up about 10 feet, all green water, then as it kept on it
got white and went higher and higher and just when I thought it was at its height,
it went higher again! I'd only seen it a time or two as I was driving by so this time
was a real treat cause I got to watch the whole thing and to top it off, I wasn't
doing the driving, I got to look around

I got lots of bird pics from the places we've stayed here also - if I ever get my blog caught up - all will be posted there. Where Jean took the tarantula pics (I took some too) was our first night here - and the first thing I saw was a coyote cross the road in front of me pulling into that cg. Then, while we were standing outside our rigs talking about where we wanted to park, there was the tarantula. Peaches was getting a lesson in how it feels to be on a short leash

Loved the fountain - was so glad Ava told us about it - and it worked out good we were here on a weekend, cuz we were able to see more of Ava. Or should I say she put up with us more - and we're glad she did.

Is that fountain man-made, or like a natural geyser that does its thing on its own?

I jumped a foot when the spider picture came up! It's the only insect I can't stand!

I was going to ask if the fountain pic was of the fountain at Fountain Hills. I have seen many pics of it as my DD's inlaws live there and my GDs love feeding the ducks. Many restrictions in that subdivision.

Loved the sunset, too, and seeing Belle out and about. Thanks for sharing!

Sheila I'm looking forward to your visit, hollar out when ever ya get a chance to go
through here, boondocking is permissable at the casino just down the street from
me and if ya want a place with hook ups, well Fountain Hills has McDowell Park
just outside the city limits.
