APR 2010- Port Lavaca, TX (Magnolia Beach)

How about a boondock gtg at Magnolia Beach the first week of April, 2010? There is a small (10 or so site) park behind the beach if someone HAS to have hookups - but sites are very, very tiny and this beach is not one where the tide can come in and scare ya.

Hope a bunch can come.

Does the first week mean the FIRST day of April!?!?! I'm flying in (Austin) on March 30 and also want to spend Easter with DGD, hopefully I can work in couple days with you guys between these two commitments. I love Port Lavaca!!!

I can be there any or all of that first week - my stay in Port Aransas is for the month of March - so will go there as soon as that's over.

So, do we need reservations to boondock at Port Lavaca?

No - no reservations can be made - sometimes there are lots there - somtimes only a few. Whoever gets there first will try to make an area for all of us - but maybe we'll be all together, maybe slightly apart, but there will be room for all. At least, even the time I was there when it was busy, I didn't see any problem with getting a place.

Last year 3 of us were on the beach and a couple were at the little rv park (Karen will be on the beach this time, won't you Karen?).

Maybe we can pick up a group and caravan down from the Austin/San Antonio/Kerrville area - what do you think? (Mtngal in Austin, Karen (retiredhappy) in Kerrville, Birdie in San Antonio)

Do we have firm dates for this gtg? April 1st is a Thursday; the first full week of Apr. is Apr. 4-10. When will people be arriving there? Gotta plan, you know. Also need directions.
