Thursday - Almost Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday - Almost Friday

Postby Paulette » Thu Nov 05, 2009 9:21 am

Morning everyone. Looks like I'm the first here so thought I'd put the coffee on and set out some goodies for breakfast, along with the tea and sodas for those who prefer. How about some fresh fruit, along with some of Zeee's Banana Blueberry Muffins? Personally, I'm gonna have a bowl of cream of wheat and a banana.

I have a conference with GD's teacher this morning for her "first report card". I'm thinking that she is doing pretty good this year, so we'll see if I'm way off kilter or right on the button.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day whatever you are doing.

Back to school for Paulette....but I always found the P T meetings very interesting....I could usually tell in the first couple of sentences or comments out of the educator's mouth...whether or not they "got" who my child was....their personality, the stuff that made them unique. If the educator didn't know who the "real" child was ...what they "thought" was not nearly as important..... If they didn't have a vision of the possibilities....they would not be as instumental in inspiring a child!

Sitting for a moment before heading off on errands...there is a Walmart stop for prescriptions......but the weather is beautiful out even if a bit chilly.....chilly is all relative to what we will face later in winter.... Good journeys everyone...

Back at work after several days off with "flu-like symptoms"... nobody is calling what has hit the north country so hard the H1N1 flu, but yet the Dept of Health is saying that it's the only flu in the area. Still have the left over cough,... but doing a lot better and glad to be back with the high school kids.

First snow of the season on the deck and grass this a.m. I'm sure it's melted by now. Just a warning of what is ahead for us. Camping and bluegrass season may be over, but here comes basketball! :D

Hope you all have a great day!

Good-morning, so glad to see you all in the kitchen. I've just finished a bowl of fruit, so guess I will pass,on the goodies. Just wanted to wish all a really great day. Its beautiful here again, colder, but thats ok. The alternative, of rainy and cold is not good!! More of the "getting ready to leave here type chores", for today. List is getting short, so is the time, I have allowed myself. Have a Great Day Everyone !!!

Safe and Happy travels,
Carol

Good morning, everyone. We have bright blue skies here in beautiful downtown Utah, and the temp when I woke up (according to my iPhone) was 52 degrees. (Aaaaahhhhh....) Supposed to be get to 70 today, with rain this weekend and a drop in temps.

I'm still trying to get a response on my Nov. 1 post on the "Get Together" thread about Quartzite. I don't know what to do at this point. SHARON, PLEASE PM ME BACK!! (not to put too fine a point on it!) I want to attend, but am unsure how and where.
Update: Thanks Sharon for PMing me.

Still waiting for confirmation of my summer paddling volunteer gig. I'll call the volunteer coordinator today. Assuming I will get it (WHO wouldn't want little old ME? ), I've started lifting weights to get in shape. I'm starting fairly slowly for me (using my 10 lb. dumbbell, working up to my 15-pounder) and I'm not sore (yet). I need to be able to lift about 50-60 lbs over my head to load / unload the kayak trailer. And I need to lose at least half that amount not to put undue stress on my kneews. My roommate and I are walking our fairly hilly neighborhood. Walked 1.3 miles yesterday. So I'm moving, if unaerobically ...

On a related front, rig is still (and evermore?) in the shop. Hoping The Escape Capsule will be here soon. Once I do, I'd like to do a short trip to a paid campground, given that the rig has been -- perhaps prematurely -- winterized.
