in high school and was so impressed from my recollections
and seeing sparkles pictures of the north rim they are so
totally different
did you see that blue spot in the first picture? not the sky!!!
was it a person out on a ledge or what?
just wondering

and thanks for the pictures!!

Sheila, I had to go back and look. Yes, that's a person. Gives some sense of the scale, doesn't it?

Awesome pictures , Sparkle, thanks so much for posting them. I agree with Sharon, the north rim, is more magnificent then the south is for me. I saw the south rim first and was very impressed, but the North rim, really takes your breathe away, literally. It seemed to bring my fear of heights out more thats for sure. Never bothered by it at the south rim, but the North rim, I froze in one area and had to let LIz go and get the pictures, that I could look at later. I want to go back one day and hopefully, being prepared, I can really see it for myself, as I would like too, not just in pictures. Your pictures are really an incentive for me to do this, they are awesome!!!

Safe and Happy travels,
Carol

Thanks for the GORGEOUS pix of the Grand Canyon which is beautiful with a dusting of snow. I think everyone should see the GC at least once. It takes my breath away!!

Thanks also Sparkle for the differnet view of the Grand Canyon. Quite unlike the "usual" shots you see.
