Hi Tina

It sounds like you are having a good day. Let me bring my hot chocolate and share with you what I did today...we went into the Towne Square of Salt Lake City today. We listened to an organ recital in the Tabernacle Hall of the LDS Temple Square. What a beautiful place to hear such wonderful music ~ the acoustics are tremendous. We then went up to the observation deck on the 26th floor of the tallest building in Utah - to see the city and all the city parks was just amazing. We spent over five hours walking around and looking at exhibits. Some of our time was spent doing some research on our ancestory ~ my husband found some documents from when his parents immigrated here from Russia in 1928.

Thanks for letting me join you around the campfire. Have a good evening.

Wow, I love to listen to everyones "stories" around the campfire......it keeps making my list of places to go and things to do and see longer and longer. The more I travel the more I realize that there is so much more to see and do that any of us will get through....even discounting the part that we may have individual differences in what strikes our interest the most...... I am heading on home to Ohio today....but already itching to head back out. I just told Carol on the phone, I think I need to save up my gas money for Florida in Jan :D See, if I tell family that I am heading out to meet up with folks at a GTG.....it sounds less crazy that , oh, lets see,....I just want to hit the road somewhere warmer than Ohio and I'm out of here, bye!

Hot chocolate anyone? Its gotten so cold its time to dig the hot chocolate out of the
back of the cabinet, and just maybe that Baileys would taste good splashed into it.
I've been so busy lately, and its just draining my system, although its a good drain,
cause I needed to get busy. Sunday I took a drive out and about some local camp
grounds, talked to the camphost, etc and when I looked at the time I had missed
the Edible presentation thing at the aboretum. The next one is the 14th so I'll try
to catch that one. Bandit went with me and thoroughly enjoyed his car ride and
his one on one time with "momma", it was good for both of us. Yesterday, I thoroughly
enjoyed a visit at work with my old retired friends that came by to have lunch and visit.
Another good event for the soul, then did another Marching Band fieldtrip, LATE into
the night. I didn't get done til 10:30, home by 11 and immediately to bed, not even
any "unwind" time, I was just too tired. Dogs didn't even know what to think cause
I didn't make them any dinner, don't worry, they will not starve by missing one meal.
It certainly had them eating well for breakfast :D and today, early release for elementary made for a very long day with only an hour break in the morning an an
hour break in mid afternoon. Never once got to check the computer yesterday!
Two more days of early release on elementary, I'm gonna be fried by the end of the
week, but it will all be worth it on the next pay cycle :D I like it when I'm kept busy.
Ok, on that note, I'm off to finish catching up on my computer and want to run to
the store real quick before I get to comfortable.
Gotta keep the campfire stirred and hot. Its definately that time of year.

Ava, I thought of you driving through the mountains and seeing school buses......Thought, thos route is a little different than Ava's :) I saw an interesting bus coming dowon one winding road....it had to be a foot narrower that most the buses I see...but it made sense to have a narrower vehicle (and it was a bit shorter...not bus-ette but shorter) on the twisty roads...... The one time I drove QUICKLY west to San Fran....I swung north and drove through the reservation and stopped by the Grand Canyon....I watched buses head off into those wide open spaces....couldn't help but think of the bus drivers , what those routes must be like......and the cost of the gasoline..... I think of the pictures you posted...it really made everyday life in your area come alive..... I am thinking I would rather drive a bus in your neck of the world/woods, than on the twisty mountain roads

Am sitting next to the fire and enjoying a little wine.....a warm Remi pup in my lap.....The moon has been beautiful these evenings......I also catch a glance at it in the early morning before first light...not that I stay awake mind you, but I enjoy the beauty as I find it. Izzy has been practicing "gaiting" and "stacking" and trying to look like a "show dog"....I have been trying not to trip over my two feet. I got an e-mail from the puppy owner that has her Orange Roan brother...they just live a town over....They said that he is still covered with puppy fuzz. I told them I would be glad to give him a big boy trim when they were ready :) ...it is sort of like taking the baby in to the barber and watching them lose their baby curls and come out a big boy! Blondie had to go without supper tonight....I came back from some shopping (lucky that Stuart had done a "ride along" with me or he would have been blamed) the cat's food bowls where EMPTY......after all these years she had finally figured out that she could jump up on top of the dog crates and climb over this and that an reach the ledge that I have always placed the cat's bowls on...because I thought it would be high enough....it was for the last 10 years or so. Think she would make a good agility dog! So I figured her tummy should be plenty full.
I'm going to move another load of laundry on and then settle back again to watch the fire.... Hope all are settled in for the night and off the road before dark....enjoying the evenings rest.....

Tina, I really enjoy driving the bus and the one summer I drover the Casino bus
was even funner, was a big Prevost, just like those big 40 and 45 foot huge
motor homes. The winding roads are ok if you go slow but you do have to watch
for overhanging stuff cause those rigs are tall!
Your pups have sure grown, makes me miss my little cocker. She was solid black,
13" sweetie and such a wiggle butt. I groomed her myself and she was really good
about it, she just didn't like the bath and would go hide when I ran the water in
the tub. RIP little Cinder, she passed on at age 13.

But will do that later....Anyways, stirred up the coals, and got this baby going again.....Spinner brought some treats for the other fur-babies to share.... ;) Have been busy getting things settled here in Georgia...and wanted to let you all know, Ernie did a pretty good job holding down the fort while I was away.... :D OMG, I'm back in shorts again....left it snowing when I left PA.....

It's so nice to be home, and sitting here with all of you around the campfire is such a joy...... ;) Ya' all come and sit awhile....(do ya' think I got my Georgia Drawl down yet again???)
