Postby Barbzeee » Tue Nov 03, 2009 10:11 am

For those with Easy Share Cameras.... well, I've spent the last few days attempting to post pictures via camera connection..and it's a no go..so I have to down load their software.(ugh) and then go from there...and being I had to uninstall it already..(it's a long process to uninstall ) you can't just use the add or remove program..don't happen.. had to do the old dos way..challenging...cause XP don't want ya too... Sweet nothings.. ok getting back to the issue... Easy Share..(a league of it's own with Kodak)..has it's own program .(of course ) and being it has a docking station and all kind of goodies...(oh it gets better) However the camera is a neat one.. and takes great shots and simple video... (the real world part)..unless you use a media card or memory stick ...you ain't a gonna up load the sucker..!!! with out Papa Kodak..plain and simple.. I even went further and made the "call" to India...now nothing wrong with India..lovely country..but...pullllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeez...they seem to have a one track mind.. LOL.. Now I know I'm a true Senior Citizen... hahahahaha... Yes, I lost it..completely out of control.. How come "they " just don't get it ?????????? Why should they..right..it's us who need the HELP...!!!!
Here's a link as to what's what with Kodak and Microsoft.. (why you can't just go to START..click ADD...Scanner or Camera....ain't a gonna happen..!!! LOL Thanks BJ...but that's what I would have normally done with other cameras...but oh no...not this sweetie...(but I really l like the camera)... LOL

Any way as I type I'm loading SOFTWARE....LOL I have no choice......

Ok.. I vented... I'm exhausted...well my fingers are anyway...so now on with the show....Maybe this afternoon...maybe :)

Hey Lori... can't wait for your return..hahahaha..... You have to guide this poor woman..who's now gonna hit the sauce.....Wooooo hooooooo....

God Bless Us All...

Oh yeah... I had a fight with a squirrel... have to tell you that one another time.shame I didn't have the camera rolling.. it would have been unreal..a story to be told like a Ripley's believe it or not.. or maybe YOU ASKED FOR IT !!!Image

Well Barbz you have a lot more patience than I have, I'd send that sucker back, too many easier options out there that also do really good pics and flicks! I've put a limit to how much frustration I'll tolerate and each year I lower my standard. ;) I either hire a teenager or a techie or if all else fails throw it out.

Barb, I don't know what kind of SD card your camera comes with, but many laptops have an SD card slot. It's much easier to slip that little sucker in and transfer pictures that way. And lots of printers have the same kind of thing, too.

Just a thought ...

Yupper,...that's the way I do it. I had a Kodak digital camera,... that Kodak program is a heavy load. My computer ran so much better when I ditched it. Have gone back to my first love,.. Canon.

Yup! Done away with all my Canon software and bought a $9 SD card reader that plugs into the USB port. Easy peasy!!

I have an easy share camera also. I haven't had problems loading the pictures, to the computer but have had a fair share of problems with the camera itself. If never seems to stay charged. The base that allows you to print pictures is also the charger and is a piece of junk as far as I'm concerned. I got the system on sale and guess you do get what you pay for. I'm looking at Canon now, as I have a 35mm film Canon and absolutely love it although most places that develop the film are slowly going out of business here. Linda

I have a Kodak Easyshare and (knock on wood) haven't had any problems with it. I plug the cord into the computer and camera and let Windows Media download the photos. I don't use the Kodak program for anything.

You can buy an SD card reader at Walmnart if your computer doesn't have an SD slot. I don't even use Kodak's program to edit my pictures. Have been using the older free version of Adobe but so far, haven't been able to find a freebie for Windows 7.

Have loved both Kodak's I've owned - am even looking at a new model they have - and no do not have to use their software. I just take out the card, put the card in my puter and go - have always done it that way. Well, no, first time I did down their software, but then discovered I didn't need to do that and never have since.
