Trick or Treat ...Smell my Feet...Hope you got something good to EAT !!!


How could I resist... This is my Favorite Holiday... Halloween.... Gosh I do wish I was back home as I loved to sit on my porch dressed up with my big kettle and all the goodies inside it... Porch decorated..and watch the kiddies come up with their neat little outfits...aaaaaaaah ..well, I have a couple of treats for ya... Hope you enjoy them...and above all .. Enjoy the day !

Molly and I get no trick or treaters this far out in the boonies, so we will just hunker down with dog toys and my computer to celebrate tonight!

I got a good nights sleep and feel rested and ready to tackle the day. Laundry of
course, when do I NOT have laundry, go pay the bills and run over to the propane
place to fill one of the bottles. Also have to stop by daughters and check on
the cat as daughter is off on another cruise.
Its predicted to be up in the 80's today and on into the week, upper 80's. Will
definately be nice weather. 80's always feels perfect to me, not too hot and
not cold perfect weather for shorts. Will try and get some yard work done
this weekend.
Coffee is good this morning and a little toast hits the spot. Have a great day
and enjoy whatever it is you plan to do, and most important.....be safe!

Happy Halloween morning!!! Did anybody notice there will be a full moon for tonight!?! Not that I'm going out....just over to DD's to stay with DGD. The girls are going to a "Zombie" Ball....Zombie's are very big in Austin even when it's not Halloween. (I don't get it....too old I guess!). DGD has a darling witch outfit...complete with gold trim on dress and hat. She was very happy with herself trying it on last night.

It's a bit chilly....48*....just right for walking. I joined an online challenge for October......my goal is to complete 1860 minutes of *any* kind of fitness activity for the month.....and I am thrilled to say I am going to make! The road trip slowed me down so have been doing extra minutes for last two days....today I need to do 133 minutes to finish!

Also intend to finish unpacking and putting stuff away...not so much...just been putting it off.

Morning all. Yes, 'tis hallowd'eve once again.. and the ghouls and goblins will be out in full force tonight! Will be exciting to see the full moon. Here in hickville,, i doubt seriously that anything harrowing or hairraising will go on, but,, hopefully I will get to leave the house, at least.

HeeHee.....cackle cackle......Hoowwwooooooo!

I was remembering when my kids were small, I had (still have) a book that shows how to make a person into any sort of ghoulish character! My top favorite was always the werewolf, and somebody got made up as one each year! It involved that long Dr. Scholl's sheep-wool for foot treatments, Karo syrup, black face paint, and lots of patience! One time, my husband's nephew drove down from Chazy for me to 'do him up' as the werewolf!!

I also used to tell my kids when they were very small that every year at Halloween I turned into a werewolf, and joined all the coyotes and wolves on the property for a howling walk-about! They were to leave me a pan of dog food on the front porch so I wouldn't get too hungry and begin to growl and howl and tear the place up and wake them up! For a number of years, they left me food and water, and 'nice' treats on the front deck, and were always sure to get to sleep before the 'changes in Mommy' took place! When bedtime hour drew nigh, I began to sort of snarl now and then, and paste on a clump of hair or two! Sometimes I would nearly break into a full-fledged howl if they were resisting bedtime! I always made sure the food and treats were eaten up by the next day, and that I left some real dog poops around the front sidewalk! Oh what the teachers at school told me about their 'share with the class stories' after Halloween! They had other kids convinced I was a real werewolf, too!

This would still be one of my most favorite holidays if I had any way to get to and from town in costume, and someone to be my DD (Designated Driver). When Mandy (my daughter) was tending bar in town and had an apartment there, I dressed every Halloween and partied until closing! Sigh---now I just kick back in my jammies and remember the fun times.
