You have us beat here in the northern Adirondacks, for sure! It's above freezing again here this morning, and raining---STILL! I hope you all get safely out of there SOON, before you can't get out and have to become igloo-dwellers!

Be careful driving when you finally DO leave. Echo, have you decided what you and Kelly are doing for the winter yet??

Really enjoyed the pictures, Jean. I love the first snow, for about a half day, then it can go away. I abhor driving in winter conditions although if I do drive in it I'd prefer driving through a couple inches of fresh snow as opposed to packed snow/ice.
Hope all you gals are taking extra precautions in walking around in it. Don't want to hear of anyone being layed up and not being able to drive out. :o
Take care!

Quick, get out before you get stuck there. Beautiful but cold. Its 9am and 72 degrees here. Was supposed to be in the 40's last night but I had the windows open, the fan going and was sleeping in shorts so it obviously didn't get cold. When exactly are you guys going to be in Port A? Maybe Carole and I will come down.

We plan to leave this Monday - will be warmer then.

Karen, we both have reservations for Port A for the month of March.

Which park? Wish it wasn't so far - I'd love to meet you two! (and Belle, too, of course...)

Sure is beautiful from where I sit -wouldn't want to join you though. 11 degrees is way too cold for enjoyment... Thanks for the pics and the motivation to get a move out of cold weather before I see all that white stuff out my windows!

We will be at Pioneer Park in Port A. Beth HAD to see if Elvis was still there.
We just went to the Canyon, and drove around visiting various points of views. I think we were saying goodbye. I'll up load photos tonight.

Yes, unfortunately the news was right! I got here to Albuquerque yesterday at 1pm and it started snowing like crazy at 2 for about an hour. Got about 1/2 inch on my steps and car, then it quit and by 3:30 it was all gone. Also unfortunately I needed propane and the guy wouldn't be back until 2, so I got to move Hope over to the tank in blowing wet snow. Cold wet snow!! Missed the snow coming over the pass, tho. I'm just trying to get home!!!! It's supposed to be clear today, but I'm waiting until about 10 to leave, it's been so cold that I'm leery of ice on the 40. I grew up here and I don't remember it ever getting this cold this early. Hopefully will be in Holbrook today to visit with my sis, and then Ehrenberg on Sat. for 3 days of heated pool, jacuzzi and schmoozing with my lifelong GF. Who was laughing her butt off at me freezing here in our home town while she was nice and toasty in Az!! She will pay for that!

The funny thing is, or not so funny, when I was driving thru those torrential rains to get to the GTG in Tn I told myself, well at least it's not snow! LOL!

Geesh! Another reason I'm glad to be getting out of Kansas now instead of the end of December, as originally planned. I'm finding it hard to imagine snow in Albuq. the end of October. After a year in this part of the country, the Southern California desert has never sounded so good. Take care, those of you in the snowy/cold areas.

Or better yet have her beam y'all out of there to someplace warm and sunny!
