Update...

Spoke with Ernie... Lori left wee hours and had lay over in Charolette... she should be arriving in Buffalo at about now.. .. She called to see what was happening from Charolette.. Her brother Brent, has no brain activity.. as Ernie stated.. "Flat Line".. but they will still keep him on life support till his
daughter arrives..(she's coming in from Iraqi)...

Lori will head straight up to the hospital to see her sister Barbara...... and as soon as I hear I'll post update again...

This is sure a heartbreak..and I know traveling with this on your mind is a very heavy load to carry.. Please just keep prayers coming..

Thanks again for all your kind words and support.. as she sure is gonna need it...

God Bless

(((((Hugs)))))) for all when words can not express the sadness and feelings of loss....when injuries strike..... the world suddenly changes and will never be the same...... may prayers give strength for healing and living to all that are hurting....... and comfort to keep moving through..... things that we can not understand.....

What a nightmare! Cattle are so unpredictable! How often have we read about the 4-H steers that have been raised from babies going out of control at shows and injuring their young handlers. Every time we think about this during the day, that is a mini prayer going up. I know we will all come back to this in our thoughts many times in the course of the day.

My prayers are with all (Lori and Ernie, the family). Wow makes you realize how fragile life is.

Hope that Lori can help her sister through this. And yes I have said several prayers today.

I know that lighting a candle to help remind me to keep sending out the healing powers has worked in the past, so I will be sure to do this all weekend here, when I am home. (Who knows where these healing powers come from, or whatever you wish to call it, but I know that many powers and wishes together from many people DO have a force. And I shall be a part of that force.)

Like Soosie, I'm sending strong thoughts and good light. Special hugs and love to you, Lori,....

and I'll forward Zeee's message to my DIL to share with my son and grandsons... a dairy farm family that might be raising a bull. I know they have in the past.

I can almost feel this circle of friends locking arms around a campfire sending strength to Lori's brother, sister and all the family.

More healing prayers being sent to all involved.
Thanks for the update and let us know if there is anything beyond the prayers that we can do.

OMG, what a terrible, horrible accident and traumatic for Lori -- her brother AND sister.
Her sister is certainly a true heroine, jumping in with a rampaging bull to save her
brother. I'm sending healing prayers up for them both, and to give Lori strength. Life
certainly can turn on a dime.

I was taught long ago not to get too complacent with livestock -- especially males that
are not neutered. But it's hard to imagine such violence from your "baby," who has always
been sweet. I also wonder what set the sweet boy on a rampage.

Adding my prayers to the rest. Will be lighting a candle for safe travels, swift healing and peaceful passage. What a heartbreak for the family. {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}} to the whole family. Unfortunately only time will heal the pain.

Well I remember my neighbors bull attacking him. I heard the hollering and then the screaming when on my way home from horseback riding. I got there and the bull had Owen on the ground and Owen's wife Theresa on her way into the pen. I hollered and rode straight in and got the bull to back off. Owen and I were both lucky that the horse I had was use to working livestock. She wasn't a cutting horse but by goodness she did a good job of it. She lambasted that bull a couple of good ones. It was enough for Theresa to drag Owen out of the pen. Broke 6 ribs, an arm and it was impossible to count the gouges, scrapes and massive bruises he had.

Lori, my thoughts and prayers are with you - as you know - hang in there, my friend - I know that we aren't given more than we can handle - but right now with all you have on your plate, it sure seems like you have it. If there's anything at all I can do - let me know. Meantime, my thoughts and prayers have been continually with you since I heard about this the other night.
