Beautiful site, Karen...are they all like that or are you work camping there so get a nicer place??

Yes, its a Flamingo flag. One of the forum ladies made and sold them. Sorry, don't remember who right now.

This is a large park. Some sites closer to the office have lots a trees. On the other side the sites are more open with less trees. I always stay on the more treeless area - fewer weekenders and I have a satellite on top of my rig. I tried to get this site last year but a couple from Iowa had reserved it for the winter.

I'm here till Dec when I go to the balloon festival in Gallup. Then back here for Xmas with my family then who knows.

Yup, that's who made them, and where I got mine. Anyone heard from her lately? Hope she's ok, she's a sweetie.

Karen has a really "posh" site and I think she has one of my trees! My site has one 'tree' that is 98% dead. However, the rest of the area is quite beautiful. This side of the park is newer so the trees are having a tough time growing and staying alive. Second year in a row for drought like conditions. However, the last two weekends it has rained in this part of TX finally!

Gotta tell you that having a person as knowledgeable as Karen about RV's and the what to look for has been great. :ugeek: I still have my Casita, but it is really small for full-timing. Thus, I am looking for a slightly larger rig. Karen has been fun and knowing in looking at this rig here in Kerrville. She has even agreed to make a trip up to Georgetown to look at another rig with me. Now is that great or what? :D

This is probably a mini-GTG. Got anyone else around the area to come in for a day or two? Mtngal are you in TX or CA? Anyone cruising down I-10? You can find Karen's site by the flamingo motif. Maybe we shoud paint her rig pink and black, think so? I love all the trees around here with the hills. Just cooled off yesterday evening, so Karen is faring better and Buddy and Sassy are loving it.

We are partying this evening so come on down gals, it'll be fun - no diving in the river though!

Wow,Karen, didn't recognize Kerrville with the green! I'd think it would be a nice change. I'll be in Port A at Pioneer for a month starting mid January. Maybe you'll want to come to the beach? I've been working on organization and a few maintenance items and I really would like to have a tow car. Thought it would be a done deal by now but having a problem finding the right car. I want a Honda CRV, probably an '06 (hate the new body style in '07s and later) and my salesman at the local dealership (Honda-Toyota) hasn't come up with one yet. The govt clunkers thing really wiped out their inventory and so far, not built back up. I may have to buy one from a private owner, something I have never done in my life. The ex knew a lot about cars but I know very little but maybe I can get a friend's husband to help me check some out. Anyway, hope to see you soon.

Nancy (Birdie) is here till Monday then PattyK is coming in for 2 days. On Tuesday I'm taking PattyK and Sharon to the 11th street biker/cowboy bar in Bandera. We'll probably have lunch at OST in Bandera. Janet, come on down. There are cabins here at www.guadalupervriverresort.com. Gonna try and talk Birdie into staying one more night to meet PattyK.

Port Aransas in Jan is a definite possibility, Kelpie.

Wow! Karen, your site there is so much nicer than the one in Wyoming!

I knew when you mentioned "biker bar" that Sharon would chime in! I think she liked the Nashville Honky Tonks and was looking for a cowboy...but I'm sure a biker would be OK too.
