It does look like everyone is having a good time. It's good to see Herschel taking such responsibility of S and the twins. I can see why the twins were nervous when H was looking for DEEP Trace, what with his glowing eyes and all. :D I'd be scared also.

If Belle is allowed to see Tina's post, she might just want the beg H to take care of her as well. :o Maybe S and the Twins should get their own section? Their owner is sure going to be kept busy from now on.

We made it down to the Mobile, AL, area and stayed in the Escapee's Park just south of there. The pictures are of the general parking area. Walking the dogs, I went down the streets were individuals owned their own lots and had built "houses"....very interesting....everything from large covered areas to park their rigs under and maybe a small shed to real houses with large MH ports next to them...... It was very warm and humid the first day and then we needed the heater the next......I am sure it will warm up for Margie and her husband by the time they get south.

Friday, I drove to the beach, and a few wildlife areas.....The sun did manage to come out but the wind was strong enough that the birds did not want to fly in it...they just lined up on the sand......

Herschel was not pleased that I got to walk on the beach and he did not. This is the...."we better go somewhere dog friendly next time"....look

I stayed in Alabama Sat night because it was too windy and I got tired of driving, found the campground (Sherling Lake Park) run by the city of Greenville... It was green and safe looking....Met a woman who had lost her husband last year and was continuing to travel in their large class C. She said that she had not driven it much until after herr husband died. She has a towed vehicle and was traveling with her cousin. She told me about her recent costly adventure at a gas station in Texas  Something about being impatient and not waiting for people to return to a car and drive off ...that would have given her room to swing out like she should have....something about separating the back of the MH from the side? Something about $4500 worth. When I mentioned the RV driving classes that are offered, like the one Margie took, she insisted that she she had driven the rig enough to know how to drive it,....just got impatient....Guess that part of the class she didn't need to either! Go slow, don't rush....

I took a scenic drive through the back roads Sunday and picked up 20 to take on into Atlanta and I85. Some parts of the back roads could be stand-ins for Ohio or parts of TN or...you get the idea...Each little church had at least 7 cars in the lot on Sunday morning. I'm not saying how many people come in each car. .... And I drove through Atlanta just to say I did, since I haven't been to Atlanta since a English Cocker National back about '96. Given the traffic on a Sunday, I don't ever want to drive through on a weekday...maybe 3am some morning. Tonight we are staying in the Tugaloo State Park in Georgia near the SC state line....off I85. The lake is beautiful... Herschel thought I should take a few pictures of the lake front sites. We were thinking of Carol :) See these at least have a fence that you have to drive through before you hit the water.... We could do these :) ..... I decided to park a little up the hill though.....the breeze (read that wind) coming off the water was brisk....it seemed a few degrees warmer up the hill......and I'm away from enough other campers that I only have to put leashes on two pups.... (Herschel runs to the tree and runs right back.... )

Here are S and the Twins snuggled up with Herschel and the duck..... They were worries that Izzy would get them and think they were a chew toy! Herschel kept the "sweet" Izzy pup away.....

Image

Need to get to bed....we are off to Charlotte tomorrow to take my "girl chick" out to dinner. (Hope you don't mind Sharon, but I really like that "chick" moniker :) )

Great pictures! Roe knows just how Herschel feels about not-so-dog-friendly places. Pretty cgs you found!

Tina, loved the photos. You are one crazy woman, carrying potholders around. Poor Herschel. His mama has gone crazy.

Boy Tina, if looks could kill you would have been a goner! Poor Herschel, he's been so good about babysitting the twins and then you have the nerve to go to a beach that doesn't like dogs! He may never speak to either of us again!

Feel free to use anything I say or do and at no charge! :D Love the campgrounds you've been staying at. Sure looks like you've been having a good time and may never go home. I do believe you've got the bug. The rv'ing bug that is!

I am so enjoying the travels of Mr S and the Twins, hate to hear you are headed home. Poor Herschal, he worked so hard and missed the beach. Maybe you can find him a pond to swim on the way back home.

I don't know Tina. H looks like you had better find some dog friendly, swimming allowed camp ground. Otherwise H might just let Izzy have her with with S and the twins. :D :o Loved the pictures. Linda
