Such a relief to learn that you and others are okay. Be thankful nothing more than things were lost.
You had one season your new rig, now you can take the winter to figure out just what little changes you'd like in your new one next spring.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

OMG Cedar I can only imagine how scary that must have been. Yall are so lucky that you came through it as well as you did. Was the bridge over water or another road? You did a good job keeping you all safe!

over another road.... and it is basically un-traveled. Good thing as the holding tanks (just emptied and rinsed! ) and the rear stabes and some plumbing pipes ended up down on that road!

A team effort here at school today has convinced Kath to go to ER for a checkup on the persistent headache since the mishap. She's taken my Escape and I have my SIL's "tank".

Thanks again everyone for your friendship and support,... now it's onward and forward! :D

I hope the inner shaking has stopped now. It seems like every organ in your body shakes when something this big happens. Such a terrible accident, but your guardian angels were keeping all of you safe. You are smart to get back on that particular bicycle/horse/(RV) after a fall. You may decide on the same thing, or you may try another type of rig, but your RV dreams will stay with you. Hope Kath's headaches are just tension or sinus or something not related to the accident, and you all heal physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Cedar, I knew you couldn't give up RVing. It's an addiction after all. Maybe a change of rig is in order. What a good winter activity, looking for a new RV. I'm glad you are feeling better and that Kath is going to the ER to be checked out. You can't tell with the head injuries. My best to both of you and the puppies. Linda

Yes, I am also wondering how her ER visit went. I am suspecting whiplash.
Whiplash takes time getting over. A gal on my bowling team missed all of the second half of last season cause she got rear-ended by someone who didn't stop for a passing ambulance. She had allot of weekly therapy sessions.
How are you doing today, Cedar?

Hi gang,.....

well, kath had/has mild to moderate concussion. Doc said ok to work teaching,.. but to not stay alone. So she's spending nights at my house until the weekend. I'm doing a bit better today. Had a complete meltdown last night and sobbed my heart out. Today I'm looking at rigs on the internet! Guess I'll get on and "ride again"... I really feel like I've turned a corner emotionally.

Thanks again to every one of you who has posted a greeting and asked how we are doing and expressed concern. you are ALL absolutely fantastic friends!

Hey I think a MELTDOWN is very necessary to "clear the air". I know it sounds weird but you are grieving your loss. You need to go thru certain stages before you can heal from any life altering event. You sound like things are better already. And GOOD news on your friend Kath. You both had a "traumatic event" occur. Just glad the outcome was so darn good. ((((((((((HUGS)))))))) to both of you.

Cedar, I'm glad you're feeling a bit better.
I can't even imagine going through what you've been through.
Meltdown sounds like a proper catharsis!
