New Member to the Family!!

Those of you who have personally met Ernie know how he's been against getting another dog since we put our Sandy down 6 years ago..and how hard and long I've been trying to get him to get one.....well, 3 weeks ago, he decided that it was time to get another dog.....so I went on a search of rescues and pounds...had family members looking, but every place wanted more money for a dog than he was willing to pay.....being the "fugal" person he is, he stated that if we are suppose to have a dog, it will happen.....so, this last weekend we had a camper in who was inquiring if there was anyone looking for a dog as he had too many (5) and wanted to find a good home for one of them.....well, of course, I told Ernie, and we talked with the guy....asked all the right questions and got the right answers...(DIL helped with a list of questions, as she fosters for a rescue in PA)....so, this evening our new "Fur-baby" arrived!!!

He's a 2 year old Jack Russell.....neutered....housebroke....likes kids and other dogs.....he's wonderful!! so far

So here's introducing "SPINNER"!!!





He already has his place in the 5er.... the rug in front of the kitchen sink....and has tried the bed...
Tonight is our first night, so we'll see how things go.....

Welcome Spinner! Glad to have another Jack Russell in the group, our Weatherby is around 9 now and has only slowed down because he's on "happy pills"!

Congrats Lori, Ernie and Spinner...he's so cute! Talk with Zee and I'm sure she'll get you hooked up with some online pet meds for those fleas. I use the Advantix on my dogs and it works really good. I'm so glad Ernie has a walkin buddy now!

what a cutie, and congrats to you and Ernie. A good flea bath will kill all the live ones
and a few more baths as the eggs hatch and he'll be good to go in the bed. I can't
resist mine in the bed with me at night, although I will admit they sometimes get in
my way when I want to roll over. Hope Spinner gives you many enjoyable moments.

Welcome Spinner! I hope you all make each other very happy!
You can wash him in Johnstons Baby Shampoo or Ivory Dish soap both kills fleas fast, kind of a scary thought huh!!

Don't forget to have him checked for heartworms and get his meds for that. I give my dogs Sentinel which is a pill for fleas and heartworm. Doesn't kill the flea but makes them so they can't reproduce as I understand.
