Rainy time in Pigeon Forge

Postby sunshinecruiserTN » Mon Oct 12, 2009 10:05 am

There's something about me, Somewhere and RAIN!

I pulled in early at the Riveredge RV Park yesterday and they had an overflow site available so since I was not due to be here until today I took it so I could watch the horrible Titans vs Colts game. Horrible for the Titans.

The drive up was beautiful. Colors are changing much more than in Middle TN. I'll get some pix tomorrow and post later.

This morning I was to move and the sky opened up! I decided to stay put. Right on the front road! Still slept well with the exception of the diesel trucks moving in and out this a.m.

Sisters and I decided we would do Cades Cove tomorrow as it looks like the only pretty day of the week. Hey, we are all together so it's all good. :D

Heard on the weather station yesterday that October was the dry month in the south and that's when people get married out here so they can get hitched outside. Gonna be a lot of upset Bridezillas in this area this year!

I'm in Hurricane Mills for however long it takes this storm to move out of the area. Maybe Thursday. I told them at the office not to book my site to anyone until they see me actually pull out 'cause I was sick and tired of driving in the rain and I wasn't movin' until it quits! May be here until spring. At least the wifi is good here, not like in Lebanon. Off to see the Loretta Lynn museum and may even take pictures.

I'm sorry you guys have to be out in this nasty, nasty weather.
I think camping in the rain is almost pure misery!
Stay warm and as dry as possible, girls!

Nasty weather is right! There is a rumor that the rain will end by Friday so hang in there.
Glad you and Sharon are safely parked somewhere without the need to be somewhere else any time soon.

Sharon, you are in Theda's neighborhood. Run on over to Johnsonville Historic Park and have a flavor of the Civil War. The museum is open by appt. There is a number at the entrance, give her a call. You met her the first day of the TN GTG.

Ooooh, Jan...sound so not nice. Hope that the rest of your travels are a little smoother..... Sharon and Caroline ...I'm wishing you some sunshine. At least you are both hunkered down and not trying to travel in it. That works find until the dog needs to go out :)
