Wonderful news Laura, for you and Jed and your pocketbook. Most important is that he'll be fine - but omg, the bills - which we all would have paid for our furbabies - would have been devastating.

Janice, I'm so sorry to be late in replying to your question. I left Monday for San Antonio and the RVW Convention -- still here, actually. It's been a week of wild weather (read: sauna-like) and now things have cooled off. But I've been hanging out with friends and making new ones. It's been tons of fun.

Jed is home with my good friend and seems to be having his way with her. I get daily reports of all the havoc he's wreaking at home, thanks to Marianne not being dog-smart & leaving things like magazines for him to destroy. Her recounting of all the things he's doing to torment her make me laugh.

So it's looking like the Jed I knew and love so dearly is still alive and well, but kind of fogged over at times. His walking is still not what it should be, thanks to the phenobarbital. He has a vet appointment onTuesday and we'll discuss lowering the dosage, hoping that it will help his dragging feet. It's a little nerve-wracking to think that maybe the meds aren't causing his walking issues, but I'm going to believe they are.
