Great pics, Liz. We lived on the Withlacoochee many years ago and love that area. Practiced diving in Rainbow Springs. Thanks for the reminders. Now, tGM and I will definitely have to get back there this winter. carold

Moorhen, that was it! Thanks, Peggy.

Winter, Diana, definitely winter for a gtg. Let me know when you all can come and we'll arrange it. Perhaps we can stay at the Rainbow River State Park and be real close to Dunnellon.

Yes, Sparkle, it's the same guy singing. They just recently opened the restaurant/Tiki bar, and Jon Semmes plays there with his band on weekends.

What a wonderful place. Lots to see there. Love the wildlife. That snowy egret looks like he's had a broken neck!
Thanks for sharing your part of the country.

Lenora, I think the Snowy Egret was trying to swallow a fish. If I tried to swallow a fish whole, I guess my neck would look funny too. :D

Great pictures Liz! We sure did miss you up here in Tn, but I'm sure you had way better weather! I love that area for the beauty, but when I lived there couldn't afford to go anywhere but the beach....only 'cause it was free!
