Is anyone else on Facebook from here.? I have been finding all sorts of people I have lost touch with and this is such a neat way to just keep up on peoples comings and goings without having to write an email. Also easy to just post a pic or two. Any way just thought I would see.

I also got sucked into playing Farmville and now I am having lots of fun with it. It is sooooo NOT like me to do this...but....

I am, but you know that :) My problem with it - is I log on and instead of seeing any good info on people - see page after page of the apps (like Farmville) and how you and all the others are doing. LOLOL - I was laughing the other day when I say you doing it.

I am sure you were laughing your A** off..... so was I actually. BUT you can block seeing that dumb stuff. Just go over to the right of the post, click on hide, and it will say Hide Farmville DO NOT block the name of the poster unless you dont want to see anything they post.

I was talking to Laura on the phone last night and my cow started mooing cause I was working on my "farm" while I was chatting to her...dang if it didnt take her several minutes to recover from laughing. I NEED to get a life. LOL

Oh, thanks for that info - I'll be blocking all kinds of things :)

And if I'd been on the phone with you I'd probably have laughed so hard I'd pee my pants. Luckily you wouldn't be able to see or hear that - so your laughter wouldn't be at my expense.

I am on...after my kids agreed to "friend" me.....now I know which city my son is in when he is always traveling by following his posts. When he went to Africa...he just posted his album on facebook. I post pictures of my journeys b/c it is so easy.....I have found some people and been found by others....I always warn them that most of what they will see have to do with dogs and camping..... I have avoided Farmville.....the pups think I spend too much time at the computer already and need to take them more places..... In high school I had the opportunity to help take care of a riding stable with over 50 horses....that was close enough to farming with bringing the haying in and all.....

I used to belong to Facebook but I finally got out of it. I got really tired of all the silly stuff going on. The worst part was having loads of folks I did not know trying to get me added as thier friend. These people weren't even friends of my friends so it really freaked me out and I just got out of it. Be careful out there gals!

I'm on too and most of what I post is camping with a little "family" in there. Don't have time to get sucked into any of the games.

I'm on FB and my kids got me on it.. and it's great way to keep up w/ them and their goings on. As for the "applications"... I HIDE all the silly ones, hearts farmville, all that silly stuff. I do, however take SOME of the quizzes. They are entertaining to me at times. ALthough, most are just plain bogus.

I have connected w/ some of my old hs classmates and consequently, had a "mini" reunion a few weeks back that was wonderful for all of us that went. SO SOME good comes out of facebook. Lots of info! Course not nearly as personally enjoyable as THIS venue!

thanks to you all!

Yep,... I'm on FB too as of a few weeks ago. I hide the applications, though. Having spent a lot of years married to a farmer I find no joy in playing farm! Lately a couple friends got hit with some spam. It was some sort of automated "send" going out on their account. I think the site is now blocked and things are back to normal.

As for me I enjoy connecting with folks I don't see or communicate with often. It's been fun.

I've been on FB for quite a while. But, like many others, I avoid all the applications. Tried several once, but realized what a time sink they were. However, I've been able to stay in touch with family and all kinds of friends.

I'm on Facebook as well. In addition to letting me kibbutz with local folks, I am finding &
communicating with friends I've made while traveling in my RV.
